He should be careful because having a big stomach is a sign sometimes of eating too much of the wrong things and too little or no exercise which could lead to severe health complications such as: Diabetes, High blood pressure, Arthritis, Heart disease, intestinal problems, cancers, etc.
It is also a major turn off to the opposite sex(except in Nigeria and maybe Africa) where it is seen as a sign of wealth because of the severe poverty in the country. Most people can't afford to feed themselves, the few that can eat and drink till they literally die.
