Its very good to fight and deal with those that stole our common wealth. we Nigerians are in support of it, but its the function of the Judiciary to proclaim whoever is guilty or not.this is the more reason the fight against corrupt individuals or organizations should be done within the armbits of the law. The court granted Dasuki bail, after which he was being rearrested again. Too bad.

LadyExcellency:
What you quoted as conclusion should have been a universal (worldwide) effect and not specific to Nigeria and moreover, Dangote's business is not mainly on Oil and Gas hence the deviation.
Who told you other oil producing countries are not suffering it as well. Russia, Venezuela even saudi know the effects. Though some. Might not feel it as some because of their huge reserves. If we were also saving big during the oil boom, I'm sure it won't be as worse as this. But corruption no let us save. We come dey lament now.

Brazil is hosting the Olympics which is starting soon. They had to cut back on spending because of the downturn in their economy. And the country is badly hit like Nigeria as well. Let me quote the country's present situation for you.

Brazil’s inflation has jumped to its highest level since 2003, running over 10 percent according to the latest figures. The central bank hiked interest rates to 14.25 percent, the highest in nine years to combat inflation, but so far it has been unsuccessful. Meanwhile, GDP is shrinking, with an expected contraction of 2.2 percent in 2015. And the unemployment rate has hit 7.6 percent, the highest since 2010.

The citizens protested during the confederations cup. And they are also planning it now. If you need the source for quote. I'll be glad to provide it.

Dangote's issue is a different thing entirely. I have to know his worth last year and this year before I can talk about that. And i know he opened lots of factories in the country and other countries recently. That might have affected him as well.

November 7th 2014 saw Dangote drop to $21billion and 37th in the world.
Lying to discredit Buhari. Towing your line of argument, it was GEJ that made him drop.

Re: My Detention Scaring Investors- Dasuki Sambo by Jimi23(m): 6:46am On Mar 04, 2016
Mr Dasuki, how did YOU look when u were looting (IN DOLLARS) money meant for fight against insurgency when the nation's security was entrusted to u? U and ur cohorts were having a filled day fooling Nigerians pretending u had set aside funds for fighting insurgency whereas what that money was approved for was for your personal use. Mental poverty. Many lives have been wasted due to your evil greed. U and your cohorts SHOT down this economy not investors. I hope the EFCC does its homework properly this time around. Nigerians can't wait to see this monster rot in jail.

So Dasuki's arrest caused it?

@Omolola,

What you don't realise is that your explanation is way beyond her capacity. I mean, for someone to measure economic performance by Dasuki's detention and Dangote's "alledged" business performance.

Continue operating at your level without exposure.

The keyword here is "uncertainty" which kills the market. The effects of Buhari's docility breed uncertainty and this is the summary of what I inferred, same with what the Senior Advocate is alluding to.

Any other deduction you made from my comment is your own cup of team

Bye

....well with your "exposure" we'd better reassess what schools are teaching......

I still wonder what's the nexus between an ex-NSA facing allegation for monumental fraud and body language of investors. You mean that Nigeria is prosecuting those alleged to have defrauded the government is causing uncertainty. Are you alright?

I need not wonder where your moral compass has traveled to. You're at liberty to yab Buhari anytime you wish, but if at the expense of not realising that it makes you come out dumber, the world is yours

I know. But what I don't understand about nairalanders is why do they argue for the sake of it. Sometimes I read some comments and i'll be like se this person get brain at all? Sometimes it's all clear to us but we'll still criticize for criticism sake.

I don't know how a sane person will think dasuki's detention is affecting the economy. Is he our source of income? Abi na him dey regulate oil price.

We will learn how to use our voters card wisely next time.
