Na today. I pity the the person that snapped this these people, had it been you took the picture during rushing hour you would have been telling nairalanders how those people mauled you. If you doubt me go and ask the neighours around Ikeja you are showing us and they will tell you how their louvers has shattered with stones by these train hangers. |

wow ogas, none of you even stopped for a moment to find the truth behind all this 1.most of the pictures posted here are 15-20 years old 2. majority of the crowded scenes are one time in a year occurrence which are due to a. national level exams for jobs which leads to people from all over the country to journey to a particular place leading to massive traffic b. political rallies: lakhs of people moving to rallies being held at a particular place leading to over crowding , the authorities are helpless because of political interference. my good ogas it is never good to have a ostrich mentality comparative analysis is good as long as you are interested to use it to improve yourself and not hide your own shortcomings. I could direct you all to Wikipedia to understand the scale of operations of the Indian railways which is rivalled by 1-2 nations only (115,000 km (71,000 mi) of track over a route of 65,808 km (40,891 mi) and 7,112 stations). In 2014–2015 Indian Railways had revenues of US$24 billion which consists of US$16 billion from freight and US$5.9 billion from passengers tickets. about $85 bn at 2014 exchange rates is being pumped in to complete the ongoing projects alone. how many European rail coaches / engine manufacturers have been acquired by India , what technologies have been implemented/invented. u should Google for ACD (anti collision device) technology based on GSM and satellite tech designed to prevent head on collisions even in remote places. you could even ask some of the African countries why they opted for Indian railway engines after using Chinese engines? even Pakistan was asking for Indian engines after the imported Chinese ones broke down. Nigeria and other African countries should study and learn from others and collaborate with others, and setup their own R & Dev institutions to research new technologies suited for African conditions. in this way you will improve your own railways and be proud of your own achievements and stop making fun of others. "you point a finger at others 3 of your own fingers points back at you" both india and Nigeria were colonies of the British. should we keep pointing fingers at each other or should we help each other to take our rightful place in the world order with much respect and regards |
