got butterflies in my stomach now, hoping they have really improved like Ralphlauren said as I need to travel even earlier; so just 6 working days in total!

It's a BIG wahala ooooo

We did ours since on the 23 Feb. Till now nothing.

The embassy has gone back to its wicked ways.

We have called and called and called, if u lucky u get someone who will promise to help u check Wat the issue is, but they never call back.

I don't Wat else to do, being a Nigerian is a pain the a*ss.

My kids British passport exPired since Oct 2015 I didn't know till last week and we going to Spain on the 1st.

I called the her majestys passport office 2days ago got an appointment for today 9.30, drove from Manchester to Liverpool arrived at 9am went in and with 10mins I was out. Application submitted, the lady said max Wednesday I shud have it.

Now compare dat with the stress I ve been thru for this Nigeria passport.

If I don't get by may , I will go get my kids visas, I already bought tickets

Sorry sis, na change de worry them. But their own na negative change. But I am very optimistic you'll get it very soon.

Keep getting told they do it(renewal) within 7 days now, so I'm hopeful as i already bought tickets

I also notice OIS- the company doing BVN for Nigerian banks also do renewals and i'm certain they are a bit more professional-though they'll probably charge

@bebe2 I think you should follow it up, that's far too long. They probably have it sitting on their desk somewhere

I was lucky then because mine took 3 weeks and I got it posted to my address because I submitted prepaid envelope

I saw a lot of people with prepaid envelops when I went for the interview/biometrics, just didnt want to have another reason to bleep up.
but will definitely recommend that to anyone outside london and no- flexible leave from work

The prepaid envelope system is a better way to return the renewed passport.
It gets returned within 7 days (cost of underground ticket, parking, British rail and time). Prepaid anyday!!!!
