Hmmm..... Now that explains how Johnson must have missed you. Seems I'll have to install "sterenko" security systems in the building. But it's okay shaa... You na boss finally. #smiles And uhmm... About what you've just mentioned..... ***moves towards desk..... And checks computer*** Yes, I just received a mail from a researcher-friend carrying reports to be looked into in our neuro-molecular, neuro-cognitive, neuro-psychological and behavioral patterns "diagnostics"labs... The precocious19-yr old Chidozie Awaziem's contract inclusive of a 30 million euros release clause and some others like Ndidi's super consistency for KRC Genk and...... **shakes my head at the long list** .... a host of others are included in the mail sent..... A synopsis has been carried out and a general prognosis given. So now, my team and I will have to super-analyse these and come out with a super diagnosis before publishing that "concrete" report I talked about.... Though we're still open to more information gathering.... As like I said earlier, "we no wan make mistake" #smiles Don't worry, everything will be studied deeply from the cognitive, cellular, systemic and even molecular angles. Siasia's player selection headache must be solved and a solution provided because we don't want to mess up the rise of Nigeria's Next super golden generation. #smiles So, Oga TheGoodJoe.... All is well. #smiles TheGoodJoe: |

Orkpekyandega:I dissenter. They both should remain in their currently various clubs, or musa should sign for Leicester at the opportunity cost of signing for arsenal. I am not against "promotion" but, to be frank, they both are small team players, I don't prescient them flourishing in top clubs for now except there is a preternatural influence. |

Ighalo’s goal drought worries Eagles’ fans Nigeria fans ought now to be on edge with Odion Ighalo going six games without a goal for his EPL side Watford as this is coming too close to crunch AFCON qualifiers against Egypt later this month. The last goal Ighalo scored was on January 30 in the FA Cup against Nottingham Forest, while his last goal in the league was in a 2-1 home win over Newcastle United a week earlier. Former international Jonathan Akpoborie has said the Eagles be built around Ighalo, just as Watford are, for Nigeria to beat Egypt. And before this drought, Ighalo would most certainly have been the first name on the Eagles team sheet after he fired 14 goals in his debut season in the EPL. But against Manchester United on Wednesday and Leicester yesterda, the Nigeria striker was a shadow of himself. Good enough Nigeria caretaker coach Samson Siasia is a big admirer of the Watford striker after he recently expressed his willingness to pick him as one of the over-aged players for the Rio Olympics in the summer. At Watford, Ighalo plays as the top striker with the selfless skipper Troy Deeney supporting him, just as Brown Ideye did for Emmanuel Emenike when Nigeria won a third AFCON title in South Africa three years ago. The former Nigeria U20 skipper scored his first goal at full international level against Chad in Kaduna last June. He then doubled his Eagles tally when he finished off a flowing attacking move in a friendly against Cameroon in Belgium last year. thenationonlineng.net/ighalos-goal-drought-worries-eagles-fans/ |

Don’t panic over Egypt — Siasia tells Nigerians Super Eagles interim coach, Samson Siasia has urged Nigerians to stop worrying about the 2017 Afcon double header between Nigeria and the Pharaohs of Egypt later this month because his wards have assured him of victory over the North Africans. Speaking in Abuja ahead of the resumption of camp today, an optimistic Siasia said, “I have spoken to the likes of Mikel, Moses, Odion, Iheanacho and others; they are all ready to play. They said: “Coach, we are coming to do it and play for you,” which is a good assurance. So, we want to go out there with a positive mind to make sure that we put smiles on the faces of Nigerians.” On his part, the coach has assured that the double header was a top priority. Said he, “I am going to give over a 100 per cent of my time to make sure that we win those two games. I am full of confidence and, as long as the boys play to instruction, we do not have anything to worry about.” Egypt presently sits atop the group with maximum six points, two ahead of Nigeria after two rounds of matches. But Siasia believes playing the first leg at home is an advantage to the Eagles. “We are playing at home and we must make sure that we win at home, no matter what it takes us. Egypt can’t beat us, I assure you that. So, there is no need for panic,” he insisted. His belief has been strengthened by the availability of video tapes of the Pharaohs and he said the technical crew will seat with the players and study the tapes closely. “ The first leg encounter will hold in Kaduna on March 25, while the return leg is scheduled for Alexandria on March 29. www.vanguardngr.com/2016/03/dont-panic-over-egypt-siasia-tells-nigerians/ |

Manchester United lead transfer race for Arsenal target Watford striker https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/images/sunday/kxwnodu6k6a8i0ebc456dbe29e85e61.jpg Odion Ighalo celebrates a goal for Watford Arsene Wenger is also keen on the £20m-rated Nigerian, but it's understood the Reds will press ahead regardless of who their manager next season Manchester United are front-runners to sign £20million-rated Watford striker Odion Ighalo, writes Tom Hopkinson in the Sunday People. But with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger also keen, the Nigerian looks likely to be the subject of a summer tug-of-war. Man United are in the box seat and, intriguingly, Sunday People Sport understands they will press ahead with plans to sign the player whether Louis van Gaal or Jose Mourinho is in charge at Old Trafford for next season. Mourinho in particular is an admirer of the 26-year-old Ighalo, who has shot to prominence in the Premier League this season. United are desperate to add firepower to their squad and Ighalo, who has scored 15 goals for Watford this season, ticks all the boxes for them. Ighalo joined from Granada in 2014 and, having helped guide them into the top flight and started the campaign so well, admitted joining United would be “a dream”. Speaking before the January transfer window, he said: “I don’t think I will be moving but I’m not sure I’d say no if United called. “They were my team growing up. I loved watching Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke on TV. They were my idols and playing at Old Trafford has always been a dream.” www.standardmedia.co.ke/m/?articleID=2000194007&story_title=Manchester%20United%20lead%20transfer%20race%20for%20Arsenal%20target%20Watford%20striker%20/sports/ |

blueto:Yeah, while i agree Musa should go to Leicester, I jst feel Ighalo should stay with Watford. His current goals drought could serve as a warning signal that he might nt jst b as fantastic as we think he is. And this might jst result in dwindling interest from d big clubs if d drought continues. I mean look at d clear header chance he missed against Leicester yesterday. |

blueto:Seriously you mean Musa and Ighalo are............? I seriously disagree with you Sir. Remember both have been above average for their respective Clubs. Ighalo for one is one of the best strikers in England, so which parametres did you use before drawing your conclusion? Besides, who ever believed Ighalo was prolific enough to top strike in the EPL? Until Watford gave him a chance. Seriously all they need is just a chance. |

I’ve no regrets dumping Serbia, Romania for Nigeria — Emeghara Former Super Eagles right-back, Ifeanyi Emeghara, was on the rise as a footballer before an injury in training while on national duty in 2008, cut short his career. The ex-Steaua Bucureşti man tells’TANA AIYEJINA about his life on retirement, why he shunned offers to play for European countries and more in this interview Not much has been heard about you in recent years. Where have you been? I didn’t play at the African Cup of Nations in Ghana in 2008 because I sustained an injury in training. I spent about two years trying to come back from the injury. That’s why not much has been heard about me as far as football is concerned. Did the Nigeria Football Federation support you when you copped the injury while on national duty? The only thing they did was to take me for an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) in Ghana and that was it. So, I had to go back to my club, did surgery and spent so much time on rehabilitation. It took me a long time to come back. Did you feel bad about the way you were treated? Of course I felt bad but I got to know that’s how it has always been. But I hope things will change especially for the young ones, so that they can give their best for their country. That was what happened and I had to go on with my life. Do you agree with those that hold the view that the Eagles have performed poorly in recent times because of the federation’s ill-treatment of the team’s players and officials? You don’t expect someone come and give their all with the fear of not knowing their fate when they get injured. I think we should do something about that so that the footballers can give their best for their country. Sunday Oliseh resigned as Eagles coach citing some of these problems and a violation of his contract by the federation. What do you think about this? It’s very unfortunate that we are where we still are right now. A lot has to be done for the country to move forward. We have to support the players, give the coaches time to get their teams together. Do you think Oliseh’s resignation will affect the Eagles’ chances of attending next year’s AFCON when they play Egypt in a double-header on March 25 and 29? It might. This is not the right time to be where we are now. We’ve got two important games and it isn’t good that the coach is leaving because of some problems. What do you think should be done for the Eagles to regain their position as Africa’s number one team? We have so many ex-players who know the game, and have seen how footballers are treated outside Nigeria. I think they should be given the opportunity to run the country’s football. Maybe we can get back with these ex-players. When are you hoping to stage a comeback as a footballer? I came back after my rehabilitation and spending two years without playing football. When I came back, I realised that I couldn’t give my best any longer, I couldn’t do the things I used to do, I couldn’t play the way I wanted to play. I don’t believe in giving average performances, and I had to quit. So, I stopped playing because I could no longer play the way I loved to play. Are you going into coaching now you are retired? I’m still open to so many things but right now I and my friends Ayodele Makinwa and Femi Ajilore are trying to see how we can help the young talents in the country. We have a programme right now, I’m encouraging them to go school and move closer to God. I really like working with the kids and imparting my experience on them. We’ve had a lot of ex-players, who turned pastors on retirement. Are you also hoping to become one? I gave my life to Christ a very long time ago before I left this country for Europe. I have been trying to work with God and serve Him the best way I can. That’s why I want to do something for the young kids, it’s a way of giving back. I spent some time in the US and I saw a lot of people over there wanting to play but they don’t have the talent. So, when I got back here, I knew we had the talents, so I am looking at how we can help them and make our football grow. My relationship with God has always been number one. What were the challenges you faced playing football on the streets and at Ebiede before you moved to Europe? I’ve always believed that there’s nothing easy. If you love what you do, you will enjoy even the difficult part of it. Football is what I love to do; so I also enjoyed the difficult part of it. It wasn’t easy but I thank God for the opportunities I had, which I took. Going to Ebiede, an incredible talent discovering team, was amazing. I gave my best and I kept going higher and higher. I was on that path before I had the injury but I take everything in good fate because I believe God knows why things went the way they did. |

Orkpekyandega:I prefer he goes to United. He has more prospects their. Manunited's attacking department is so lean dat an 18yrs old Rashford from d U19s was brought in to fill d attacking gap created by injuries to Rooney and Martial. Welbeck is back for Arsenal now and Olivier Giroud is ever present coupled with the fact dat Walcott and Alexis also can play in d CF position. |

Orkpekyandega:I presume the answer to your question can be inferred from the bolded Icon4s:There is an immense discrepancy between playing in a top clubs with stupendous players as colleagues and playing in club occupied with average or latent players. like the clear header he failed to convert yesterday, he will have other redundant chances to vindication himself by making the startup line in other subsequent days. But such chances are seldom in top clubs were you have players with awesome prowess ready to replace you anytime you are betide with botched football outputs. Victor Moses was also hyped like this when he was on the verge of signing for Chelsea. |

Icon4s:I think you 've got some reasonable points there, however, I did love Ighalo to play for Arsenal. Though he has previously revealed to us his support for Man U, coupled with him been a fan. I also feel a Club like Arsenal who loves to create a lot of goal scoring chances for striker will definitely work things out for him, if he works on his goal conversion rate. |
