I tried connecting my Gionee via USD to my LED TV so i could watch my Videos but it's not working. But my former phone, tecno F5 plays flawlessly. Or is there something i'm not doing right?

I tried same.... its a lollipop issue I think, yet to try with another lollipop phone tho

you can check with another 5.1 phone, if it plays then its from the gionee ROM

I just tried both KingRoot 4.8 and 4.81, rooting unsuccessful in both cases. Connected to high speed WiFi while at it too. Na wah.

Well, it's selling point is it's large battery. That's all I know.

Yeah it won't work. Lollipop phones only act as MTP devices. And not USB device that's why it didn't work.

I change map.properties to amap.properties in system, when i reboot my phone everything stopped working including launcher. I tried factory reset but nothing changed oo.gionee p4

it is perfectly working. Your TV brand may require you to select the mode from the source menu.

make sure your phone network speed is OK, kingroot will root it

Don't care...... I play pes 2014 with the phone while playing music and my data is switched on allowing messenger and whatsapp to throw in pop-ups always..... My players move freely without lagging.... Not to talk of when I'm not doing anything on it..... Unlike other Android users..... I don't install unnecessary apps..... Still have over 400mb free RAM space on my phone... So I don't know why it will ever lag.... And I need someone to tell me if it really supports OTG cable.....

YES it has full OTG support! You can connect flash, mouse, keyboard and other usb devices.
