Your moniker should go like this...abokiprince because ur reasoning is at par with them.

We have made it unequivocally clear, we want out of this accursed and unGodly union. We don't want to share a country with pedophilias anymore. Our underage girls are now endangered specie simply because we are cohabiting thesame danm country with Muslims. We want a nation we can call our own, where our young daughters will not be subjected to harassment and abduction by the emirs and their subject, for se.x and early marriage.
bro in as much I respects my igbo brothers, you should address me without insulting me. I understand your points though, but let's face reality,we re still in nigeria and the only way we can vie for the post of a president is to joins one of the two major parties.

But if the new nation yet uncalled for and they have successfully pull out. That will be great, then APGA can stand a chance to be a major party.

Mr Chairman, you are wrong; it is not difficult but impossible. No Ibo will ever be Nigeria's president. Ibos will be president of Biafra on paper.

Northerners have ruled for over 40 years, has the north developed? In fact they are poorer today than in the 60s

Look at south west. What did obasanjo presidency do for them? Compare south west today to the east.

I will pick development 1 million times over useless presidency. The East is developing at a fast pace. What I saw with my two eyes still shocks me. So to hell with the useless presidency.

The problem of Igbo is clannishness which is worse than the tribalism they depict at national level. Rochas Okorocha is the wisest, most prominent and most nationally accepted among the Igbo political elite but is being fought by a combination of Igbos(not Yorubas, not minorities, not Northerners) to make sure he doesn't near the Presidency. You can verify this Igbo problem with Senate Presidency during OBJ era where within 5 years all Southeast States produced a Senate President.

Biafra is not an option as it is only people who failed to see beyond the Utopian hypothesis that have fallen prey to the hope of el dorado.
well said my brother, you understand their failure in national politics.

the worst being their refusal to accept their wrongs and yet forcing their regional philosophy on others

I may be politically naive but lets say If Buhari and Osibanjo tenure ends in 2023, in terms of Fairness, I think South East should get the APC presidential flag in 2023..
They can't reap were they didn't sow.Besides,President position is not a consolation prize. They are not Nigerians.

Is Rochas Okorocha a politician?

No politician declared war on his home constituency - as Okorocha did against his home Ideato/Orlu - and succeeded?

Ideato is nearly one quarter of Imo state? What govt enterprise is in Ideato, except secondary schools mostly built by missionaries?

Don't tell us he dualized Owerri to Akokwa road. It was for his so-called Rochas Foundation University.

Orlu people also believe Rochas is deliberately punishing them with bad roads. Nearly one third-of the population of people in Orlu town are Ideato.

Rochas retires in Owerri building his Sodom city - Imo one city.

He ignored Charity begins at home. Rochas for president, lol.

This is why the country is so backwards, a country where it citizens can not freely vie for national political post, what we should be interested, his qualifications, achievement, his plans and how to achieve it,unity of the Nation, Nigeria will never move forward when some tribe or citizens are been treated as a second class citizens, the govt in power may favour your tribe, do you know what the next one will do, one thing I m proud of, we will never set our region on fire or join other major tribe to intimidate the minority tribe,

Since all this years that Nigeria have not produce an Igbo president, have Nigeria become paradise on earth or has Osun,Ondo,Borno,Sokoto,Zamfara etc becomes better than other states in Nigeria, if you hold other people down out of envy, you are also holding yourself down

So basically in other words you are saying the same thing I am saying. Igbo presidency will not do shit to improve the daily lives of Igbo people. An Igbo president will have to appease and favor the north disproportionately in order for peace to reign... So please have the God damned presidency. It is meaningless especially in the current system of the federation.

I will choose an Igbo Businessman or Governor with vision over useless presidency anytime anyday. They are the ones that have the most impact on Igbo people lives.

Yes in their minds, Nigeria is paradise, and thats why nigerians fill up in every embassy looking for visa to get the hell out.

The bolded is a common proverb in Igboland. Thats why Igbos dont waste time envying each other. Instead, they work hard to surpass each other. But myopic and envious outsiders see it as Igbos trying to dominate. The only way their limited minds and uncompetitive nature responds is to tilt the scale with cronyism and backward policies.

Then what exactly do you want? You vote people who can't present your wants in the national assembly, your legislators are the most strident supporters of unitary system you agree limits your potentials in a united Nigeria. When time comes to reduce central powers, your reps vote against it, they are never in the forefront of agitation for state police, removal of railway, power, seaports, airports from exclusive list.
I see you all as mere jokers and confused people

Big lie, even you can view for the presidency in 2019, if you meet the minimum age, 40 I think. The only thing not guaranteed is your winning

Sorry but APGA can never produce President. Its non existent in the north and neither is it known in the south west. Even in the east, how many positions are in APGA... igbos cant be president because the typical igbo man is not after our unity and development. rather what he wants is to eat national cake and run!

As long as igbos remain slaves to money, nothing will change.

What we want? I remember that Buhari asked that same question in his first media chat. It is a funny question because even Buhari knows what Igbos want, he was one of those who as a young officer fought in the 60's so that Igbos wouldn't have it.

that will be a smart decision to go by. the escence of of having councilors, chairmen, reps, senators, governor is because they are closer to their costituency and their people.
president is a president for all not some region/s alone.

this is why we must hold our politicians accountable

Sorry, but all those things you enumerated above have remained what Igbos ask for in Nigeria.
It's only the Yoruba who last confab asked for regional government system but without fiscal federalism.
But regional government system without fiscal federalism is worse than the unitary government system of today.
.Northern Nigeria refuses both regional government system and fiscal federalism.

Cross check your facts next time before posting.

Nobody anywhere gives out power like that; you must earn it
BRAV0O:
Here's one of the problem we are facing as a country on a serious note if ibo's will not only benefit hope of producing president in nigeria one day, then no need to waste their time even if nigeria will not be able to trust them by giving them power the whole thing will not make sense at all because it will one day turn around that the case between ibos and nigeria will turn to case that nigeria being the oppressor! and it will not turn out well at all by the time whole world will be calling for nigeria head!!!
Re: ‘it Would Be Difficult For An Igbo To Be Nigeria’s President’ by oyatz(m): 3:22pm On Jan 08, 2017
Nobody is holding you down, political power aren't gotten by appealing to emotion and sentiments. Igbos don't form formidable alliance with other Nigerians in ways that can win the presidential election rather ,they keep abusing and preaching hatred towards non-Igbo Nigerians.
There is an adage in my place that you make more friends forself and dont make more enemies for yourself.

There is no law that ban any citizens from freely contesting for the presidential election.
In 1979 ,just nine years after the civil war, Zik contested.
In 1992 presidential primaries, Nzeribe in SDP and Nwanyanwu in NRC contested.
In 1999, Ekwueme contested for PDP ticket
In 2003 Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu contested in the presidential election(who led Biafra during the civil war) .
In 2007 Rocha's Okorocha came second in PDP presidential primary

Asides sentiments and of course the juicy political appointments for their friends and ilks, what does it do for their hometowns or region?

The north is still backwards and laden with pathetic indices of poverty

Obasanjo couldn't even tar the road that leads to his farm nor complete the infamous bridge at Sango.
Always doing 'Tom and Jerry' with Jagaban, while crocodile smiling at Osoba.
Lagos-Ibadan highway as important as it is to the country, was just a funds siphon more or less.

That said, SEasterners need to learn politicking (it is a dirty game) you don't come to a gun fight with knives wearing your heart on your sleeves.

Also, they would have done better by publicly chastising Kanu.

SE PDP politicians just endorsed zoning to the north, can you imagine that?
