It is a lie. His wife took salary and still continues to collect salary as first lady. Ahmed has no choice than to be paying the thief because of the covenant the two of them made before ahmed was made governor. The money was paid into Ahmed's wife's account and this got Bukola's wife very angry. She called Ahmed's wife to return the money, but the latter refused. Ahmed had to be paying Bukola's wife out of state allocation, just to maintain peace.

Ahmed is a confirmed slave to Bukola. Everybody knows this. Certain percentage of state allocation goes into Bukola's pocket. Everybody on the street of Ilorin knows this. Because they are quiet doesn't mean they are dumb.

Why should he care? All he cares about is robbing Kwara state and not what any Nigerian says about it.

The beauty of it is that Kwara folks are already in his pocket and they can't think by themselves, but will always do what Bukola tell them.
