It is a lie. His wife took salary and still continues to collect salary as first lady. Ahmed has no choice than to be paying the thief because of the covenant the two of them made before ahmed was made governor. The money was paid into Ahmed's wife's account and this got Bukola's wife very angry. She called Ahmed's wife to return the money, but the latter refused.
