dunkem21: It is not "has" but "have". You use has when you talk about one person or item. Eg. He has done it again. Also, you use have when two or more items or persons are involved. Eg. 1.They have what it takes to foot the bills 2.Emeka and Kunle have paid their dues. Note: This only applies for pronoun and noun. Out of this context, you have to consider whether it is first person singular, second person plural, etc. before knowing which to use. In summary, your sentence should read: "Simply put, Fashola and Buhari have failed woefully .. " Thank me later ![]() 5 Likes 2 Shares |

I'm amazed how we are all blaming Buhari, Fashola, Jonathan even Lord Lugard. While I do not deny that a percentage of blame rests upon them and the structureless institutions, have we even thought to blame OURSELVES? We elected them to power, they live amongst us (from the disco managers to the elected officials) ,we are related to them, they are protected by armed men who are related to us and who suffer the same pain. They still drive on our streets (whether in a convoy or not) yet, what do we do. We never ask them questions, accosst them to know where the sudden source of wealth came from, we never demand wat we voted thhem in power for. Instead, we are blinded by religious and ethnic and tribal divisions. Will your boss remember you're a Muslim or Christian or Ibo or yoruba or Hausa if you repeatedly fail to do your work and are unproductive ? Yet, we push these old excuses forward to defend looters and sappers of the destiny of our nation and the inheritance of our children. No one tribe has suffered the brunt of corruption. We have ALL suffered it. Still we do not learn. We only become gladiators in social media spaces, fighting each other, wasting away energy on the wrong opponents. Once again I'm surprised we haven't looked inwards, the so called leaders are a little percentage of the followers. Surely, THEY cannot be the problem. WE ARE. The docile, long suffering, priority misplaced, easily swayed, painlessly influenced, tribally separated and cowardice followers. YOU AND ME are to blame. Cos we do not think and know that the people in places of authority (note, not just power) are OBLIGATED to account to us. Thank you. 4 Likes |

shamecurls: At this point in time, eco friendly options are not yet viable and very expensive to say the least, USA and bulk of Europe still generate 40% of their power from coal. In order to improve the power situation in Nigeria, we have to look into sources that will readily improve our power capacity regardless of their impact on the environment because unlike the Europeans who are moving away from it, we lack the basic infrastructure and knowledge to make it a success and also we can't afford it at this time because eco friendly options are very expensive and yet produce little when compared to their carbon alternatives. FYI, gas isn't exactly environmental friendly and does the same damage as coal. |

when are we going to move to harness all available energy souces for power generation..is it that this country is daft or what...why cant private investors who view the power market as an emerging one be welcomed to explore the opportunities the market presents..since our government wont invest...we have gas wasting in the niger delta, coal laying waste in enugu, solar being taken for granted...cursed nation... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nigerians don't like Nigeria we keep messing up the country our forefathers fought for, so many people died in the hand of our colonial masters may years after independence it still feels as if we are still not gotten our independence but these time we are not colonised by the white but we are colonised by the elite of our society. We need independence |

whizcartel:Unfortunately I'm neither an engineer nor an oil worker but I believe a bridge in pipeline means you can't supply to the various places you need to supply to as the means of moving the product is damaged. Let's use this example, you have a storage tank of water with various pipes connected to the tank that takes water to your kitchen, bathroom etc. Now if the pipe that takes water to the kitchen has a big enough hole, I believe that means you won't be able to get water in the kitchen until u fix the hole in the said pipe? |

At least we don dey use our Generators, inverters, Solar panel, Lanterns, Candle, Atupa and pali isana since tey tey! Abeg if dem wan work make dem work but we will NEVER SUCCUMB to that Tariff hike without first getting what a taste of the goodness we are going to be paying for. In fact I don provoke sef, make una come pack una wire for my house ooooo or come drop am comot for transformer because i wan use the wire spread cloth oooooooooo. #mtcheeew They claim the Distribution companies are now private yet they dont have the money to finance their business or what? Why caant they pump their money and let market pricing dictate the tariff like the Telecommunication saga. Thieves approved only one DIS-COY per place or to several states or region, why wont those DIS-COYS turn themselves to gods and lords over us and hold us hostage. flood the market with more distribution company per state and force competition into the sector, then watch the growth and productivity skyrocket exponentially. |

mrvitalis:subsea, very good idea along the coast line states. Although not feasible in landlocked regions like northern states. Along the road is a very bad idea, considering safety. What if a drunk driver or any vehicle loss control and hits it? Nice thoughts though |

AnodaIT:God bless you. This is why i think those who claims to love Nigeria and want the best for her,are not being sincere to themselves on the best workable ways to lift Nigeria to where it ought to be. They are all useless hypocrites. Can you imagine what the person answered(establishing plants near consumers). Is it not madness?. Do consumers need plants or electricity(light)?.why not concentrate plants near sources of fuel, and evacuate power to end users via electric poles/cables,which will minimixe gas sabortage?. Why not solve these power wahala usimg situations peculiar to each region.say gas&coal for SE/SS,solar&wind foq North?.But hell NO,our usual "Oyel" brothers from the Waste and North will rather die than agree to that.More reason why true federalism or outright dissolution is the answer.we can't continue to allow mad people drag us backward. I got stumble a news on facebook that says Navy is planning to build Maritime University in Lake Chad. But they cancelled Maritime university in Delta. 1 Like |

Hmmm, very funny to see different diminished perspective of many youths. It is well; and you guys think your ranting here will solve the problem? How many of you can be committed to you duties at work without opening social site during active periods? How many so called engineering students can operate efficiently in their fields? Impatience is the sickness many suffer from; you think dere is a saint with Midas touch, who will take over leadership & change everything smoothly. Destruction needed to be made for a good foundation to build. So stop your negative shout cos non of you is better of. Criticise well & not personality or party; don't be like a fool who lives in glass house but decides to throw stones. Many can't handle a small group of people, not to talk of a shattered economy. Many will love to get jobs in ministry' just to sign in the morning & get out to doing something else, or never show up for weeks, but still receive salary; so the President is to be blamed for that. We are the ones killing ourselves, cos we re damn lazy, greedy & thieves... Go out there to see how people work hard daily, including the so called bloody Nigerians, but fail to do so in there country. Hypocrites. |
