150 billion in cash & 150 billion in barter from 1.1 trillion. In effect, MTN is paying 150 billion fine, that is 1/7 of their fine.
This is a ridiculous joke.
meanwhile some of you were the ones saying such a fine could drive investors away.

Your Baboon just scored an own goal and missed out again in his quest to fund a faaji padded 2016 budget.
Buhari is proving to be another ineffectual baboon. GEJ = PMB. Birds of the same feather.

it is obvious that a lot of things are not right with this shady negotiation. only bribery and settling of the presidency can be responsible.

don't tell me it was reduced because one Mandela or Zuma came came to negotiate the money ceased by SA because that money is a peanut compare to this jackpot

Just imagine the insult to our collective sensibilities. from trillion to 300 billion out of which 150 billion is in cash and the rest is business concessions! What REALLY is change?
people like you don't even know what it takes to get a million. we are talking about 100s of billion of naira here as fine not investment.
under Jonathan administration, MTN would have scale through with less than a billion Naira bride that would have gone into private accounts of some individuals.

the show of shame must stop.the minister of justice ought to have consulted widely before coming out with conditions for mtn and he ought to have realised that he is the lawyer and the ncc and communication minister are the clients and so ought not to have done anything without carrying them along .im beginning to wondr why all this blunder with a prof of law as vice president.

But seriously MTN should pay the fine, they are bringing 80bn debt into the issue, let them pay up, infact I find it a bigger national embarrassment for a whole Nigeria's debt to be included in this negotiations, maybe because of the SA's president's visit they'll shed some figures, but they are not in any position to negotiate Nigeria's debt, let them pay their fine and let Nigeria take care of it's debt. It will send a very clear and sound message to every multinational operating in Nigeria. That's my own 2 kobo.
