My fellow nairalanders pls help, I've seen different people come here for advice and are helped.
My younger sisters aged 18 and 15 are becoming wayward, sleeping and dating different boys and men, I've talked, better still adviced them severally as an elder sister, but it has all fell on deaf ears which is making me very sad and ashame of them, I'm still strugling to finish my education in the university, my mum called that the 18 year old did not sleep at home last night and has not returned, only for them to find out she slept at a guy's house.
All because our parent are not financially buoyant and strict, I don't know what to do anymore, pls advice what I can do to stop them before they ruin their lives totally,

There's no much you can do, you can only advice, hopefully your parents are fully aware and can discipline them, I can't imagine an 18 year old that sleeps away from home with no permission,

Sometimes siblings can be something else.

The only thing you can do is to advise them and you can also discipline them.

If you can then do that but be careful because dat might chase dem from the house. Them set a rule that they are not permitted to exceed 7pm outside.

No offence but I blame ur parents. U being in sch means dat u all have ur basic needs but not ur wants. Most families are in such level but d children aren't this wayward. Obviously ur parents are not strict that's y.


What u shud do is dis; Call them together and appeal to their emotion. Tell them stories abt people who regretted living a wayward life due to d fact dat they were abused, infected wit diseases, damaged, lost their lives etc Make them undstand that they are not in competition with anyone and shudnt compare themselves wit others etc Instill fear in them...fearr works.

Then assure them dat things will get beta and that they shud draw close to God. And above all, pray for them to change

You can only advise them, encourage them into being responsible and as well shakara them but at the end of the day, they live with the decision they make for themselves.

However, when it's almost late for them, they start blaming their village people as being responsible for their woes,whereas, they are the architect of their lives' ship.

I think parents usually over pamper this kids, then when they turn wayward the parents start blaming villagers.

It is sad because their lives can be ruined forever.

If it's what I think I feel your parents might be the problem, maybe because you are fending for yourselves instead of your parents till you Finish school and become independent. That is how it should be not the other way round.

As for your siblings, just do your part and free them, face your life. That's all
