Hello genies in the house, am about getting a domain name for my site but am still thinking which is more preferable to chose and the benefits attached therein.

Its a media site that base in Lagos, it also has a blogpage.

If my main target market is local -.com.ng
If my main target market is international then .com

{If na special name where don't go since (eg SEX.COM) then I fit use .com.ng (SEX.COM.NG)}

In giving my suggestion, I'll say you go with "yourmedianameng.com".

While the "ng" would give an impression of it being of Nigerian origin, you'll still have the ".com" to show it's contents are for the global audience.

If your site is meant for local scale alone (also national); go for .ng but if it is international, go for .com For me, either it is local or international, I prefer .com any day any time. It gives your site some kind of international recognition.
