Gorodomu:Na wa o. When they said you shld go to school, u refused. Have u been sleeping since or living under a cave ![]() Nigerian govt is actively in control of the exchange rate. Thats why CBN keeps selling at 197 eventhough blackmarket is 312. Were u asleep when Buhari refused to devalue ![]() And btw stop lieing about spending your funds for this govt, cos your comments shows your criticisms arent constructive in the slightest. You are just a regular wailer trying to disguise as a supporter! |

Bevista:True he was asked a question about the forex situation The only way out is what the government is doing, which is strengthening the economy, diversifying it, plugging all the loopholes and making sure that only the essential things are imported. It will be extremely difficult, no doubt, but we are also in a state of emergency economically. You see, take for instance, your earnings reduced from N100 to N30 per month, something will have to give way…like relocating to a smaller house and I mean this is a reality. But in his response, he moved into an analysis of the economic situation. That was the situation he meant control had been lost. Who is being mischievous now? No matter how you try to spin this for the APC government, 2 facts have been made clear here. 1, the current government is completely clueless on how to turn this situation around. They are only reacting to events trying to keep head above water. 2, Lai Muhammed has no control of his utterances |

ShowYourCertificate:Do you just want to appear plain ignorant or just plain sillly? The question the minister was asked (if you didn't read it) was about the DISCIMFORTING FALL OF RHE NAIRA recently. To the above, the minister gave his answer. He started by giving the relationship between import and export and balance of trade as it affects the local currency. He explained further that our unfavorable balance of trade is largely responsible for the fall in naira value, occasioned largely by the fall in the price of crude oil world wide which in itself is a global phenomenom. Drop in Global demand for oil relative to "over" supply, brings down the price of oil vice versa. Is this under the control of Nigeria's government? Sadly NO. Not only is the minister right, his statement was miscontructed. |

Bevista:Go back and read the text all over.. And while reading, pay good attention to the part that says: "...It will be extremely difficult, no doubt, but we are also in a state of emergency economically. . You see, take for instance, your earnings reduced from N100 to N30 per month, something will have to give way… like relocating to a smaller house , and I mean this is a reality. The fact that the government is even still managing this situation, I give credit to the government, because the situation is completely beyond their control , and this is where people have been mischievous…" He was talking about the economy in general, not just oil price alone, or foreign exchange alone. |

ndcide:Gej statement ''What many Nigerians refer to as corruption is actually stealing. Stealing is not the same thing as corruption.'' that statement is in no way related to the subject at hand. it's a statement on its own without reference to any other previous or subsequent comment. The subject matter draws its conclusion from a previous comment. |

Gorodomu:You're not making sense if you think PMB could actually control parallel market exchange rate beyond his refusal to devalue the naira further in the face of diminished foreign earnings. Stop pretending to be smart! |

Its useless and fraustrating defending this government. The obvious truth is, even if the economy turn around for the best, they'll still have good excuse for ill performance. Its not just about lai muhamed, but weak hands managing the affairs of this country. |
