Things are a bit harder with critical skills as compared to when its exceptional skills. It is expected that within a year of your critical skills you are gainfully employed, after the employment yo can apply for PR. You will @ one point, might need publications for your PR applications but under critical skills am not sure its compulsory. What is more compulsory is letter from a body and work references.

BTW, what visa are u using to study?
critical skills work permit.

My brother na God ooo. Even I don't know how I registered because people said a lot of things about it. But it was stated in one letter that I got from home affairs that I can only study part-time.

It will only be God that can make you use it to apply for PR, because if u are studying full time you have broken immigration rules! With critical you must get a job within one year

Remember also if u get a job, u must report back to home affairs with your employment letter that is a condition for critical skills

Yes. 3 working days if you get to VFS very early and get on the priority list (They take 10 applicants per day and charge N35,000).

Goodday everyone, I need advice regarding my passport and visa option. I went to south Africa in 2013 on visitor's visa and while I was there I tried getting a study permit but prove abortive. I had to wait for several months but no success getting the study permit.
I travelled back to nigeria 2014 after overstaying for over 10months. I travelled back with my passport expecting the south African immigration at departure will stamp undesirable for overstay on my passport but to my surprise she didn't even notice I overstayed. while I was still at the departure I saw about 4travellers who overstayed and got stamp for overstaying and we're taken to another office but I was neither stamped with overstay nor ask to go to any office.
Now the question is I plan going to south Africa this year and my passport will expire in august so i'm planning to go and renew it but the question is " is it safe if I renew and use to apply for another visa? Will my overstay on the first passport not affect my visa application? Is it better if I apply for study visa before leaving? Is that in anyway safer? Please I need your advice and suggestions. Thanks Y'all
I doubt if Home Affairs has a record of your over stay. If you use the same passport, it will be noticed especially if this is the only visa on the passport. My advise is that you get another passport and apply for a new visa. Ensure your documents are in tact and you will get your visa in days. Please do not overstay this time as the punishment now is a ban for a year

My friend, I suggest you avoid SA until this passport expires.

+ even if you apply for student visa the Nigerian office would detect this.

+ you are creating big troubles for everyone in the system and yourself.

+ even if secure student visa in Nigeria, the entry point in J'Bourg would detect and you would have lost all your expenses.

+ you can process admission elsewhere in south eg Botswana, Namibia and the rest but avoid SA.

@Staggerlee.

I got into SA yesterday late in the night. I flew Rwandair. We had two stopovers at Kigali and Lusaka. The journey was smooth but tiiring. Rwandair tried. From take off and after every stopover, we were served meals. I even had wine on plane..lol.

Immigration was smooth at Joburg. No mention of bta, only days I would stay.

I decided to stay at Sunnyside. A nice place.

Right now, it's raining which made the weather cold.

Nigeria is lagging behind due to corruption. We still have a long way to go.

SA is beautiful. Things work here. Everything orderly.

85% of SA women are bootilicious...beautiful women. The men are just there sa..like gbonga fish.

Now, time to go out for fun.

Hi Stagg, yeah I'm in Pretoria and kind of like it here. I've been to Union building to see the statue of my hero..Mandela Madiba. I'm not coming to Midrand just yet but will pm you if I plan to. Today, I'm going to Sandton and Newtown Cultural Precinct. Really SA is beautiful.
The girls are friendly and beautiful quite alright but 'careful' is my watchword. This life doesn't have part 2..lol.
Thanks so much Stagg, I'm going back to boring naija this coming weekend. What a pity sad

I'v been in cape town for a month now. If u like women, SA is surely a death zone. If u say d ladies are booticious, it is completely an understatement. These ladies have evrytn a guy can die for in a woman! Honestly, iv not started my research - I'm still observing. I pray for God's grace here despite my wife being with me. Thank God, she too can't hide her feelings. Evrytime, both of us call our attentions to these 'heavy duties'. God help me

Have seen a Nigerian Lecturer failing Masters degree just because of SA women. He was kicked out of school. I think there are more bootlicious babes in Gauteng compared to the Western Cape.

Haaa, that Lecturer's case is not ordinary.I will like to hear his story one day to learn from. By the way, I will come to Gauteng one day to see whether what I'm seeing in UCT is a child's play. If it's true, then it means this is where God will start His judgement. Lol
