I am not surprised. Or do you expect someone who didn't write or pass O'Level Economics as a subject to do well with our economy? I just dey laugh. |

"Mr. President, it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee. We need to see your development blueprint. We want to understand your policies, programmes and strategies. We want to see the goals and the goalposts. Your party says one thing today, you say another tomorrow. That you met a mess on ground is the same reason the majority of voters chose you. If they wanted the mess to continue, they would have maintained the status quo. And while we cannot expect you to clear the mess in 10 months, we need a mental picture of where you are taking us. I have no doubt that you can turn out to be the best Nigerian president ever"- Simon Kolawole. |

Aufbauh:I read through it. He said Buhari government is practising what is called Strict Monetarism which is restricting the economy since it is halting the fluidity of the economy. This has led to the country sliding into recession since we've recorded negative growth within two quarters of a fiscal year. I'm sure Buhari don't understand all the economic terms used here (since he didn't even pass simple O'Level Economics). I'm sure you don't too . |

This indeed is a sound critique,; criticize strongly and offer solutions on d way forward. My own problem is dat Mr President has an intransigent mindset otherwise this man and other erudite Nigerians who know their onions in economy management and coordination shd be co-opted asap into any intelligentsia body where economic policy shd be discussed. Unfortunately, d govt of d day might be busier checking whether he is Apc or Pdp and thereby losing d substance in his argument. These last few days have witnessed more conversion of d Sai Buhari to d wailing team from Dele Momodu to Emir Sanusi to Tinubu daughter to Emir of Mubi and now Agbakoba. Truth is ppl are suffering and something just needs to be very urgently to at least ameliorate d pains from d 'chains'. For all d smiling & suffering Apc e-rats, tough luck to u all. |

Olisa Agbakoba made some valid points but I don't agree with his conclusion that we are in a recession. We have economic challenges quite alright but things are not as bad as the critics are making it look. All his suggestions about forex is the same argument we've heard over and over again. The same IMF argument of devaluation that has never worked before. The government already made it clear they won't officially devalue the Naira and that's the decision for now. Good news is, the price of oil in the international market is now rising gradually and even the local manufacturers are now getting up due to the forex restriction. So, we should allow the government to continue on its current part since things are looking up gradually. |

Objective, but some suggestions here would practically be difficult/impractical to implement in 'the now' (going forward). |

ShowYourCertificate:bla bla bla Aufbauh:I totally agree with you sir MCMXCVIII:Kontinu GoldCircle:It isn't really drifting, the government is just suffering from their past. They criticized every move of the last administration (either good or bad). I think fanatics of the last administration are also denying Buhari every shine and making him have a taste of propaganda his party is used to dishing out. |
