Good day to us all and I believe positive testimonies shall fill our mouth very soon.

My question is that does cic normally calls sponsor, to ask him questions? I am asking because I have submitted my application and during packaging, I only asked my sponsor to give me his six months bank statements plus other documents but he wasn't aware of all I wrote on the sponsor letter and affidavit of sponsorship.... This because he isn't my real sponsor, I am self sponsored but due to insufficient fund issues I used him as sponsor joined with my own personal account.

I wrote some things about my sponsor in the letter which aren't true for instance number of children I wrote two instead of five. I thought, mentioning a lot of dependant would mean to vo that he can't afford to sponsor me yearly with such amount, so I had to write two to make it seem he doesn't have lot of dependants.

If cic does call sponsor and surely he would mention say he get 5 children if they ask him. Reason why I want to really know if vo normally calls sponsor

For you to say it's a latest development who else do you know they have called.

Well, can you help with the format of the number that calls so u can tell anybody related especially the sponsor to be prepared if such number calls
Lovedb:
It's been 12 wks plus I have submitted my application and nothing from cic. During tracking it's says it's been processed at Ghana. Just last week my sponsor call to let me know that they called him and his bank. Am still trusting in God for the best. Did upfront medical and no mail yet. Let's keep praying for those of us still awaiting decision on our applications and those yet to apply for God's favour.
BidemiZoe:

That's the latest development in CIC now, they now call one or two important persons connected to your application. People need to be more careful with who they include on their applications by ensuring there is a cordial relationship so that whoever they would call won't deny them due to distance relationship/personal bias et al . Something funny happened few hours before they approved my permit, one of my junior colleagues who coincidentally happened to be the IT executive in my company was called by CIC to confirm if I work in the company, he first didn't connect with the name they called initially because he was not used to the name but he was smart enough to ask the VO for another name which she now mentioned the name he is conversant with, that was the game changer. Less than 5 hours after the call, I got a mail of approval. Note: I didn't put the guy's name on my form, but CIC went behind to check the company's website and picked a number from there to confirm status of my employment with the company . Lesson from this, be friendly with your colleagues because, you can never tell when they will be the one to determine your destiny. Also, pray that when your call of testimony will come, the receiver should be in a right state of mind and be in a quiet place. My guy nailed the background check , when he told the woman that I'm right in the next office to him and asked if she would like to talk to me and the woman politely told my guy never to bother because, all she wanted had been verified.

there is no rule of thumb ....
its just the way VOs see people from this part of the world....the first impression is desperate in the VOs eyes.

you could still get a visa going for a diploma if its in a section of ur parent program or a different part of the science but believe me you have a whole lot of explanation and prayer to do...

to better your chances and to sleep well at nigght it is advised to give to ceaser what ceaser wants..... which is progression....

What about the Ontario College Graduate Certificate? Will it raise a red flag.

That's very okay after a bachelor's degree not after a masters or PHD

I think my choice of words was too strong, let me say "it seems that is a new development or it may be a new development " I wouldn't have mentioned it if not for the above issue. It was a Ghanaian number (+233)but I will find out the number for you even though they may have quite a few of such lines for the same purpose. I hope this settles the matter.
I was shocked when my guy told me they called him too, just decided to share to put us on the alert. Regards to all the gurus in the house.

Hi, I'm sorry I may be digressing. Please I'd like to know when you received your admission letter and if you got an email also and also know your department. I've not heard from my department till now even though the assistant mailed me that I'd be hearing from them last weekend. I don't know if they release their results in batches and if the dates are different for each department. I applied for M.A. in English.

what is your previous qualification?
For you to be going for a diploma irrespective of which pathway it leads to is a turn off in my opinion......

you can share your documents and your overall profile and reasons for refusal so as to have a clearer picture..

I had a second class lower degree from university and that's the reason why the diploma was advised by the school except if I have gmat.
Document submitted, all academic certificate including nysc certificate, marriage certificate, daughter birth certificate and wife affidavit, police character,cv,sponsorship letter, sponsors landed properties and documents, sponsors stamens in tune of 12M, my financial statements in tube of 5m,letter from my employee, medicals done and passed, sop and a well detailed financial estimation, indicating the funds available for study and the proposed expenses that will be inured. Went via paper route. The diploma is meant to.be 12 month after which I will be given a new admission for the MBA proper.

Thanks as I await response from the house

Half of the study gap was spent working though. Funds are ok. He owns no property but father does and is standing as sponsor. How can home tie be proven beyond doubt? Already got a denial once and planning to get it right the second time asap. program starts may (proj mgmt-humber graduate certificate) .God bless you as you comment. Thanks.

What area was your first degree?
What's ur highest previous educational qualifiction....

Thanks man I really appreciate you.
Pls I'm a newbie here.. I tried to check back the pages but I'm not too cleared.
I just send the sch an email telling them to pls forward it to my mail instead of postal service.
Now if I should get the letter. What are the necessary DOCUS I need nd what's the next steps to take. Thanks

My little contribution. Just send mail to the school to send it through courier (UPS or Fedex), you will get it in 3 days time. Also indicate your mailing address to be sent to. Include your phone number as well. Note that the sch will send you both the hard copy and soft copy of your admission letter.

They are already rolling admission out. For me, have been placed on wait-list. Good or bad news? Time will tell. Wish all admission seekers including myself the best. To visa applicants, God will see you through. I will join you in the race soon. Shalom!
