antispexish: Amaechi, Tinubu, Fayemi, Fashola, and co including Obasanjo and Atiku's cases are before your very eyes. Who talks about them? There are evidences but here efcc just gave a jab not backing it up with proof. So keep calm and let's do the needful. |

mrmetoo1: Yes, locust junta. I the term budget Mafia is a new one that we have gifted with in this administration. The Administration's padded budget is a blueprint for THEFT, grand theft. The budget betrays them as a bunch of ravenous lucust who could not even wait one full year to steal almost a trillion Naira from the Nigerian economy in one fiscal year. I do not defend anyone who steals or misuses public funds. The government is not sincere in its corruption fighting efforts. And that itself is a sign that corruption is not about the opposition, or the previous administration. It is a Nigerian thing, a PDP thing, an APC thing. Going after your perceived enemies while pretending to fight corruption is even a worse form of CORRUPTION. If you do a little investigation, you will discover that all directors of NSA, from Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, Abacha, Abdusalami, Obasanjo, Yaradua to Jonathan behaved exactly the same, and doled out money exactly the same way. Therefore, reforming the dysfunctional system is more important and more beneficial in the long run than targeting perceived enemies as scapegoats. Infact, finding people to jail for corruption is the easiest thing to do in Nigeria. The fight against corruption has to go beyond shaming PDP officials. More than 50% of APC members were former PDP, and would gladly jump ship if the political tides turn against APC tomorrow. That's why it amuses me when people say PDP was corrupt. I ask, corrupt as compared to whom ? 1 Like |

Seriously I love his actions on this. Whether they are
from APC or PDP the question is are they thieves?
Are they really involved? If yes, are you telling us to
leave thieves because we should arrest APC
members too?..... Just tell Mr president that
Nigerians are facing the hardest time of our lives
now. Please when will the promised change come?
God bless Nigeria God bless Nigerians God bless the
present administrations God bless my family. |

“The campaign asked me to open an account for my campaign directorate, which I did,” Mr. Fani-Kayode said. “They then paid the money in for the assignment I was given. I asked them where the money came from. They said it was from private contribution for the Jonathan campaign. I believed them, and I had no way of knowing exactly where the money came from. This is the silly excuse this cocaine-head could come up with despite knowing for months it would soon be his turn? This man na mumu. |

plaetton: Dude you can't just say stuff because you want to or because it pops in your head. I'm still waiting for the CNN report. Now you've come with another one that all previous NSAs behaved the same way, please where's your proof? Don't say baseless stuff just because you're trying to counter an argument. Then if previous governments have decided not to do anything about thieves and this administration has decided to, what's the problem? Talking about perceived enemies, your first question as a Nigerian should be are these enemies thieves or are they being framed? If they're really thieves why come here and defend them? Most of all these revelations were borne out of a major investigation which is the arms deals, if PDP were the main beneficiaries, who else should they arrest? When you guys talk about Fashola, Amaechi and others, I'm not sure why you guys conveniently leave out Akpabio and all the other ex PDP governors still walking free. Let's talk about the budget. You're being very deceitful and you know it if you think this is the first time the budget has been padded. Nigerians had raised alarm on the feeding for the presidency, there's been always noise about all sorts of renovations, noise about different allocations. The difference is before, they let the noise die down and go ahead and do whatever it is they want to do. This time around Nigerians made noise about it and things are being done about it whether you think they're being genuine or not, the fact is people have been fired, redeployed, ministries and agency directors are being called to come defend their figures. NASS and the presidency are working on correcting the budget. The budget previously presented was an embarrassment and hypocritical giving all the noise about corruption but the fact they're doing something about it is something that never used to happen. Then there's no denying the fact that PDP ran corrupt administrations. $16bn spent on power in the past 16 years, where are we with power? Billions spent on airports renovations, yet we had leaky roofs, dirty toilets, non functional conveyor belts. We keep hearing of billions being spent with nothing to show for it. I don't know why you think corruption is a relative term that corruption needs to be compared. Corruption is corruption no matter how little or large. If you must know however IBB aka Maradona said the Jonathan administration are making them look like angels. He went on to say even though people accused him of being corrupt, he constructed the 3rd mainland bridge and built Abuja. He said they did this with a fraction of what Nigeria made during Jonathan's administration. Please what did Jonathan do with $100/barrel oil?? Debt rose from 2009 to 2015. Reserves dropped, infrastructure didn't get any better. If this isn't a proof of corruption then I don't know what is. I've provided the link to what I said about IBB http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/corruption-im-saint-ibb/ Also another link to prove budget distortion didn't start last year. Difference is what actions were taken. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/sunday/index.php/point-blank/7556-nigerias-corrupt-budgeting-what-our-president-needs-to-know 1 Like |

winningwinner:they should/will be charged to court after proper investigation. The report did not give clue to the source of the money, only FFK did.only FFK gave report as to the source of the money? Money must surely move into people's hand for different purposes.Yes o, but not government money into private pockets for no reason given Even in this government, same thing is applicable. The point now is being able to ascertain that the source is truly genuine.Replay!!!. The confessions of the yam eaters alone should make you know its not transparent. They did clean businesses using banks to tell the world they are clean. Dubiuos politicians go with cash using bullion vans and heavy escort. They did not bother to go through that stress cus they know/felt that they will get away with it, remember, stealing is not kawruption, and most of these illegal tranfers had the backing of those in power. But why is it that this govt is only investigating pdp campain funds? How did apc get to power? See Amaechi indicted in CNN report of millions of dollars in his private account, yet efcc has done nothing about it.facts is what people want, not stories. Sorry for Buhari and his efcc. We are tired of this rubbish! This cant be anticorruption war!!!!By "we", you mean wailers right? Exposing those that looted our yams, even though its the opposition that's being revealed is not rubbish. |

We are aware on where the propaganda on tinubu ended. The ended up begging him that they where sorry. And we are also aware of the confessions made by these people that are exposed, trying to justify the reasons why they looted our money. Imagine all these revelations, and we are still on campaign funds and NSA. What would happen when we get to nnpc? |

I have been scoring Buhari high on the fight against corruption & war on terror. I have scored him extremely low on economy and very poor on national cohesion as he is an ethnic bigot. Now on the fight against corruption, am beginning to think that he is not sincere. Why go after only PDP members when almost 98% of every individual who has served in government is corrupt one way or the other? Yes the bulk of the culprits just have to be PDP members as PDP ruled since 1999, but what about those PDP members now in APC, so they have become saints all of a sudden? If Buhari wants to probe campaign funds, origin and disbursement then he has to probe both the PDP and the APC campaign funds - anything short of that gives credence to his being a very devisive figure. You can't want to build a serious fight against corruption while targetting only a particular group of people and expect the populace to take you serious. Likewise you can't fill every post with only your brothers from up North and expect the rest of Nigeria to take you serious. The way he & Efcc are going about this fight against corrupion, they might end up winning their cases only on pages of newspapers while losing most of the cases in the courts of law proper. This war against corruption is very important to every well meaning Nigerian. We do not want Buhari to fail here. We sincerely want him to succeed because am afraid that if Buhari fails in the war against corruption then corruption shall finish Nigeria some day, as I doubt anyone else could have the zeal & courage of Buhari to tackle corruption headlong. But he has to reform the justice system and learn to follow the rule of law if we must get sustainable positive results along this line. Buhari has the clout to be a great leader, but his inability to listen to advice will prove fatal to his regime. He is ill-educated and yet acts as if he has superior knowledge to everyone- that is a recipe for failure. |
