xpress101,
You will need to verify if the tuition deposit is to confirm a seat. If yes, such payments are mandatory I believe and will be refunded in the event that Visa was not granted to the applicant.

Good morning, please i need your help concerning making the right choice between applying for a graduate certificate program in Durham ( 1 year) and a MSc. in University of Regina (2 years). I am yet to apply for this two but i need the one that will be more ok for me cos i plan to stay back after my studies to work. NB: I already have an admission to study an Advanced Diploma Certificate program (3 years) in Seneca but now i felt it's going to waste my time, reason why i wanna apply for either of the two above. Should i go on to submit my Visa application with the Seneca admission pending the time i receive admission from any option i go for above or what would you suggest. Regards

Hello, this is my first time here so i hope i am posting in the right place. I just got a refusal for a study visa to Canada. Reasons given are 1. family ties in Canada and country of residence (i put in my application that i will be going with my 3 kids while my husband stays back), 2. Reason for visit ( i guess that is because i got an admission for a diploma program when i have an MBA obtained in 2001). I am having a total change in profession (from Human resources to being a nutritionist) and wanted to start at a point where i can learn the basics. The question now is, what do i do now? Do i appeal the decision or do i reapply? My classes start in September. I really don't need to take all my kids, just the youngest as the older ones are in boarding school at this time. Kindly advice.

Hi gurus'
I wanted to confirm if NGN 791k in a bank account will be sufficient to visit ones spouse. I had earlier stated in my letter that I will be staying with my spouse and her letter says same too.

submitting with the advanced diploma is a waste of visa fee...

if you have an option of a masters admission dont even think about a PGC admission..
PGC should be a second option if u cant get a masters admission..

Please, are you saying no hope for advanced diploma applicant. Somebody that has a good job, which company will give him two years leave for a masters program abroad, when the person is not planning to lecture or he/she is not a lecturer.

Hello All,

Kudos to each and every one of you contributing to the success of this thread. I'm a newbie on the forum. Since i stumble on this thread, I not slept for straight 4 hours.... lol. And it has paid off because I've found it to be eye opening. I must tell you, I really appreciate everyone of you for keeping the thread going. It's very impressive to observe that even candidates that have successfully transisted to Canada are still making contribution. Please i want to share my case hope to get advise from all of you.

I graduated in 2006 with a cgpa of 3.44 and I've not had any other degree since then. However I've been working since 2009 after my service in a financial institution, I lost that Job last year but I've gained another employment that paid me more, almost 2x what I earned in the Bank par anum. Am 34 now and I want to go for my masters in canada now, I hope to take my family along with me. But since I joined this forum, I've discovered that there so many red flags on my case.

1. My intended Masters is in Public Health while I graduated with a first degree in B . Agric with specialisation in Animal Science. The different degree background

2. Am thinking I've stayed out of school for too long to go back. This wouldn't be an issue but considering the way VO thinks, it's now a concern.

3.My intention to go with my family... which should have Ordinarily serve as my social ties home.

4. My new job that is less than 3months.... It seems to me I can't use its account as my SOA because I've not save enough money there.

5. If someone trsf lump sum to me will it not count against me?

6. My wife is working in civil service.

7. How do I make Good use of a property that was inherited and I developed it. In fact currently living there. Can I use as economic ties?

I've already applied for admission and currently waiting for acceptance and offer from the school. (University of Saskatchewan). Pls if u applied to this school, have they given u admission? Please all my follow NL members, kindly advise on how to best handle my issue with the above stated issues. So sorry for the long write up. Help a Brother. Thanks

Hi, I'm also waiting for the response on my application. I mailed Nadine Penner who is in charge of graduate admissions in my department but she said she's on a short leave and will resume work tomorrow. I guess we will be hearing from them soon. PS Some departments have released the list and letters already.

if yes......my brother you dont even need SOP if u studied engineering in your first degree as you are going for Meng...

just submit your academic credentials with your sponsors documents and get your Visa....

OK thanks
I graduated 2013 and I returned from service 2015 and my first degree is elect/elect.
I would also wish to know if all my supporting documents has to be original like landed properties.
And do I need to submit birth certificate of each family member even though they are not requiring visa?

Hello house, I'm currently packaging my documents to submit sometime next month. Is it advisable to use four bank statements? My salary account, hubby's salary account our joint account and my business account.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by hayqinsbFX: 3:25pm On Mar 15, 2016
I am not talking about admission here.
I am talking as per visa chances

With a masters admission you will sleep with both eyes closed while waiting flr the visa

After filling the IMM 1294 correctly stating what you've bn doing since u graduated till u finished service and attaching due evidence

That's all I think you need in you app...

There's nothing as straightforward as an applicant going for a masters degree in t same field....

Well, you could still add yo SOP to b double sure, buh I really wonder what u hav to explain that the dumbest VO hasn't seen alread with ur profile...

I'm 28, i am agraduate of mechanical engineering with a second class upper division 3.92 cgpa and i have been working as a mechanical engineer in an oil and gas engineering design company for 3yrs, i am going for a masters degree in mechanical engineering. The company i currently work for is sending me for an oil.and gas conference in the us in may and i will b there for 3wks.
one of my siblings who works with british petroleum in the uk is my sponsor with good inflow of cash and no dependant relative. She my sister but different last names by virtue of marriage, her husband is going to be my co-sponsor and is a software tester with lloyds banks. She has sponsored me overseas before to the uk as a family visitor. Please i need the gurus in the house to give me advise in how realistic is it to use someone overseas as a sponsor. My sisterand her husband are both Nigerians but they also possess a British passport.
I am engaged at the moment, but i intend doing my court and traditional wedding in july can i use this as home tie?

Brandon University..

Explain it to me bro

Tuition = 2441 - 3321CAD ( 15 credit hours)
Living Expenses = 7900 - 8900CAD
Books = 1800CAD
Student fee = 700CAD
Personal Expenses = 3000CAD..

Total Expenses to cover a year is 18000CAD
.

Will 15 credit hour be the max I can take a year?. I guess its 30 credit hour , so I sum the tuition up to 6k CAD.. I still need an explanation on the bolded please.. AND will 7.2M closing balance SOA be OK or I'd need to submit his company's SOA also?.

you need to check your expected credit load, also note most schools charge a different amount per credit for international student. all the information you need should be on the universities website.

This is not a problem at all. To make things more believable for you, I personally know someone who currently studies at Seneca and he used his Uncle as his sponsor. This Uncle is a US resident. If it worked for him, I do not doubt it will work for you.
Yours is even more concrete. Your UG and PG course matches. The sponsor has sponsored you on trips before.
