How does one answer the question "Why are you here"? during an interview. The reason for assking this question was that i was taken off guard when i was asked the question in one of the interviews i went for. I was actually expecting the 'normal' "Who are you, Tell me about yourself, May we meet you" question but when asked the above question i wasn't sure of what to say because the look on the interviewer was that of "be careful with your answer" just as if she was expecting me to fumble. Please i need you guys to help shed light on the most appropriate answer for the question "Why are you here"? Thanks in advance. |

I believe the question is similar to Why do you want this job or Why should we hire you |
