The point is God said to Eli he will cut off Eli's house and will raise himsels a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in His heart. We see Samuel's judgement too material, he used to judge based on outward appearance. His sons took bribes, yet all these did not kindle God's wrath as in the case of Eli |
