It is bound to happen due to carelessness of these drivers. A part of the road is closed for reconstruction, it's just common sense to not overtake or speed on the single makeshift road but no...they just have to take stupiid risks. Now, they've put some families in an eternal state of sorrow. It's sad situation in Nigeria these days with kind of the news you read about everyday.. How long ago people were burnt like guguru on thesame road. Something really needs to be done ASAP.

But yes! GEJ also has a blame in this. Under GEJ, Nigeria changed the Drivers License System. That was a chance to fix the rot on our roads by Making sure all Drivers get properly trained and certified by proper and accredited driving schools, get medically certified fit to operate a Motor Vehicle and that the drivers pass a road sign test before getting the Driving License..

Guess what!! NONE OF THAT HAPPENED!

Infact, I have two Drivers License under this new regime. Same Names, Same age, Same State of Origin, Same Biometrics and yet the system that is supposed to be ina Harmonised central database system couldn't pick up on multiple registration by the same Driver. Meaning that this new system is just as useless as the one it replaced.


So since you brought GEJ up, that is another area his Government failed amongst its many other failures.

I've never had to interfere physically with a driver because my cautions always works.
