Face-me-I-face-you houses are in almost every city in
Nigeria and the things that happen there are sort of
peculiar. In a face-me-I-face-you house, the occupants use
the same kitchen, bathroom and toilet therefore it is
almost impossible not to interact with co-tenants. Apart
from the back-biting and quarreling, which are very
common features in face-me-I-face-you house, there are
some questions people there ask, that are funny and as
well annoying. INFORMATION NIGERIA has put together
some of these questions in this piece…

– It is obviously raining, for some reasons you decide to go
out in the rain, then a co-tenant sees you and asks, Are
you going out in this rain?
– You have just woken up in the morning, grabbed you
toothbrush and cup to go brush your mouth outside. You
bump into someone and they ask; have you woken up?”
– It’s a beautiful Sunday morning and you’re all dressed
and stepped out with your bible clutched to your chest and
someone asks: Are you going to church?
– Someone barges into your room and sees you sleeping
then he/she asks : Are you sleeping?
– A co-tenant hasn’t seen you in a while then he/she sees
you one day and asks: Is this your face?
– Someone sees your kids in their uniform and they go
like: Are you going to school?
– Someone comes into your room and sees you watching a
football match, then they ask: Are you watching the
match?
– A lady stands by her door doing her makeup and
someone asks: Are you making up?
– They see you eating and someone asks: Are you eating?
– Nepa brings light and everyone in the neighborhood
shouts ‘up Nepaaa!’ then someone asks ‘Is that light?’
– A pregnant woman in the house gives birth and someone
asks ‘You don born’?

Those questions are freaking silly.

Like.."Haa! Oga Daniel, you don wake ni?"

Me: "No oo! I dey sleep walk"


Or seeing u all dressed up, about heading out...they'll just come again.


Neighbour 1: "Ha aah! You fine today oo...are you going out?"

Neighbour 2: "At all oo.. I just wan stay for house watch film, na why I wear shoe & tie"
