dmcdad:I totally agree with you. The Board The Arsenal board hardly put Wenger under pressure to win titles. Those mediocres are only satisfied with the money Wenger saves them, so they turn blind eyes at the arrogance he displays. I believe Wenger is good, but he is too arogant and lacks that ruthlessness of tough managers like Fergie who would push his players to their brinks. Fergie would not tolerate an under firing Giroud. Kroenke-Out Gazidis-Out Usmanov-In Dein-In Wenger-probation |

Arsenal created clear scoring chances just as Barca, the difference in the finishing. Our finishing was disgraceful. It was mesmerising watching MSN, those guys na cheat I tell you. Life could never be so unfair. |

I take solace in the impressive performances of the young ones: Bellerin- though not as good as he was last year Iwobi- showed tremendous confidence for his age against such big opponents Elneny- energetic with confident passing, and what a sublime goal Coquelin- brilliant tackles should have learnt alot from Busquets We sure have a bright future. |

Arsenal's problem isn't even a problem..First, the board are all about profits. Wenger is about 4th place finish while the fans want trophies. Two parties have been successful while the fans aren't happy cos of the lack of trophies. The problem at Arsenal can't be resolved now cos Kroenke been the largest shareholder cares only about profits. He has other businesses too especially in USA and they are presently in the same level with Arsenal. Wenger inputted his greed and itk into the equation but buying fringe players and keeping old cargoes who don't have anything to offer the club anymore. How can a coach not buy a single outfield player before the season begins?? Even coaches of lesser clubs still buy players talk more of an elite club like Arsenal. The fans aren't happy cos of lack of trophies. They pay the highest tickets and their merchandise are quite expensive yet no trophy. But they should be careful of what they wish for so they wouldn't be another Liverpool or United in the making. It's gonna be a long century for gunners cos the board ain't gonna sack Wenger and Arsene is one stubborn old man that wouldn't resign.. it's been quite a while since the fans displayed their usual "IN ARSENE WE TRUST "" banners |

chrisley024:The greediness of your coach made Suarez sign for Barca under his nose. It's a pity and I'm glad the guy scored a screamer at the perfect time to make him further have sleepless nights |

ollah1:What transpired should not be entirely blamed on Wenger due to the dynamism of that transfer saga. Permit me to explain... Suarez had a very complex transfer clause which Liverpool were not willing to reveal. But Suarez then wanted to move, he needed Champions league and also a different atmosphere due to the moral issues he was facing. Wenger too was interested and put in several bids. Suarez wanted Arsenal. Suarez's agent who was ignorant of the complex clause, advised Arsene to bid £40m. Arsene thought he had activated his release clause, but it was later revealed after the intervention of the FA that the clause stated 'if a bid in excess of £40m is made, Liverpool may allow Suarez to discuss with the other club'. The frustration made Wenger to then add the extra pound. Meanwhile, Gerrard had talked Suarez out of the idea, and he chose to stay for another season. (He would be ever grateful to Gerrard I think) Other consequences of the transfer saga was that Wenger lost Higuain to Napoli, while hoping for Suarez. My point however is that the deal was never going to happen. |

Spy360:Honestly, I think the duo of Welbeck and Iwobi up front have lots of potentials. If they can get a run of games, and maybe with a bit of luck on their side, then i think they will do just fine. They combined well last night. I was particularly impressed by the showings of Iwobi. He really made things difficult for Barça defenders on the night. I think they can both be decisive with their combination and also with being lethal in front of goal. What do you think about their combo last night, and what are the odds against them forming a good partnership? |

dmcdad:They both have similar plays; skillful on the ball and movement with pace. Their skill set can cause a lot of trouble for opposition defence, but both are terrible in front of goal. They both lack the killer instint top strikers should have. They are better off as wingers. |

pickabeau1:Madrid are also suffering partially from the same thing. Perez is more concerned about the business aspect of the club and making money with less emphasis on the footballing aspect of things. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by pickabeau1: 9:49pm On Mar 17, 2016 |
dmcdad:Nah Peres is also concerned about footballing success Hence he tolerated a boring Mou style especially after the Manita The mistake he has made is sacking carlotti even after he delivered the decima..weird |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by dmcdad: 10:15pm On Mar 17, 2016 |
pickabeau1:You don't understand what's up bruv. Pérez's primary aim is money and not football, hence my initial statement. What do you think is the primary aim of making those Galactico signings? Do you think its primarily for the sporting purpose? Nah... First things first, its primary aim is for the financial gain it will bring, and then the footballing aspect. The same thing I am saying is what even Madrid directors are complaining of. Perez obviously doesn't work with the board in taking decisions. A director of the club made the same statement I made earlier on, that Perez only cares about the financial aspect of things as against the sporting aspect. Need I tell you also that the latest interview Benitez had as regards his departure from Madrid reaffirmed what I have been saying? He made the same statement too. I guess I ain't wrong afterall. |

pickabeau1:The emboldened can only happen in Barça as Madrid don't have socis like Barça. Perez has the veto alone. Not even the board members have a say. |
