Where are Nairaland Mathematicians?

shocked shocked shocked

Andrew Wiles shocked the math world when he published proof of Fermat’s Last Theorem, which is a problem that had bewildered scholars for more than 300 years. On Tuesday, the 62-year-old Oxford professor was awarded the prestigious 2016 Abel Prize for his work by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. He will be putting into his pocket a whopping $700,000 (Over N170 million)

In number theory, Fermat's Last Theorem (sometimes called Fermat's conjecture, especially in older texts) states that no three positive integers a, b, and c satisfy the equation an + bn = cn for any integer value of n greater than two. The cases n = 1 and n = 2 have been known to have infinitely many solutions since antiquity.

there are many unsolved problems in mathematics, each comes with a prize for anybody that can solve it. One of them is ''the proof that 10 is a solitary number''. I've been trying to solve that for a very long time but it's resisting all my attacks. Even though the problems appear totally formidable, their solutions sometimes can be surprisingly brief and simple
