Finally, Mr Seni Oshifala, the teacher accused of sexually molesting young students of Queen’s College Lagos, has in response to the accusations levelled against him, denied the reports.

Recall that the school management board was forced to react after parents sent anonymous letters to blogs, detailing how their wards were sexually abused by the teacher, an act they claimed was covered up by the school.

Reacting to the news on Facebook, the Integrated Science teacher dismissed the reports as mere ‘fiction’.

Meanwhile, the students of the school who are following the development on social media have reacted, thanking bloggers for bringing their story to light.

However, it's only fair to hear both sides of a story before you judge.
It's a delicate thing finding yourself in these shoes, just like the lady who accused a doctor of molesting him during a breast examination. It's his word against hers.

A search of his name on Twitter gave divergent results.

Some say he's the best biology teacher ever and these reports were as far back as 2011.some say he likes girls.

Let them do a thorough investigation and he should be prosecuted if found culpable

From my observation of society, whenever a rape/sexual assault issue is brought up, the guy is immediately taken to be guilty.

The person who is first to report a matter is always deemed innocent until the second party counters. I am not here to defend the man, but at least lets give him the benefit of doubt else we are no better than people who set someone ablaze when we hear screams of "theif theif"

1. The man had said he doesn't stay in the school, contrary to what was reported, and if he doesn't stay in the school what were the chances of him seeing the girl at late hours?

2. According to the report he was drunk, the man says he doesn't drink.

3. Even more interesting is the fact that he doesn't teach junior secondary.

The question now is, why then would a kid lie against him or accuse him of sexual assault. What is her motive or gain? Did she actually say she was sexually assaulted or that the mom is misinterpreting things? Isn't that why we have police and courts?

There'll always be excuses that he was angry while typing or it was a mistake but there's an edit button to modify our posts.

Still doesn't mean blogosphere is a means of justice. Go to court, present evidences AND convince the court beyond reasonable doubt. Blogosphere will only get you 'I think', 'I guess', 'if he was' kinda views.

How long does it take to start an investigation since the accusers are very sure and the student seem to agree with the accusations, they should report him to the nearest police station and get human rights activist, and relevant ministries involved, take him to court if found guilty he should be punished. I wonder why Nigeria and its system fail even a simple process like this.. hian or is it until the President hears or say something about it before the needful is done

How did this man get the job in the first place? His use of English is Poor!

First, I doubt his qualifications. The man can't even express himself very well, even as a teacher. The construct of his sentences are bad for a teacher that should be in Queens college.
Secondly, the girl cant be lying. The mother of the girl mentioned names and it's clear that lots of people know what the man does.
Theres surely no smoke without fire.

He has physically abused her and now he is mentally abusing her. She's a kid. They never get over these things.

Victims hardly ever come forward because of the backlash.

Believe the child, don't believe her...it doesn't matter anymore. the deed is done. Move the child to another school. the truth is that as long as she's fighting him, she's focused on him. Pay attention to your child. Sad reality is that he is likely to win this case

This is the way a learned person should address the issue...we aint expected to assume the accuser is always innocent

Are you sure he's a teacher?

This sort of thing isn't new. Molestation is very common in single-sex schools. The junior students are usually the targets because these teachers can't try certain things with the senior students. Besides, we all know denial is the most common defense mechanism until evidence is brought to the table. I believe a lot in the "there's no smoke without fire" saying but if he's truly innocent, then it's a cruel thing that's being done to him.

Unless there is proof,there is no case!!!....detailed investigation should be done however to know what really transpired..I aint judging issues based on hearsays...too many lies online these days,bloggers must chop
