Govt ‘has videos of atrocities committed by military’
I wasn’t caught with military uniform, cash, Wike’s aide insists

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has declared that no official of the Independent national Electoral Commission (INEC) has powers to cancel results already declared by the returning officers in the respective constituencies.

The governor was speaking against the backdrop of the insistence by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Aniedi Ikoiwak, that the commission had not released any results other than the nine state constituency and one federal constituency results announced on Sunday.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state has also called on INEC to cancel results of the re-run elections on grounds of irregularities in the conduct of the polls.

Addressing journalists in Port Harcourt yesterday, Wike insisted that no INEC official was empowered to cancel a result already declared by a returning officer and said those calling for the cancellation of the results should do so according to the provisions of the law.

He also disclosed that the state government has compiled videos of the atrocities allegedly committed by the military across the state during the rerun elections, saying that the videos would be released to the public “at the appropriate time”.

He said, “The military-orchestrated violence in the state could be part of a plot by the APC to declare a state of emergency on the state on the premise of heightened propaganda.”

Lol.
My advise to you, Sir Wike, is to be mindful of your utterances lest the immunity that covers you be blown away in a minute. Remember there is no more Patience Jonathan to cover you when the chips are down.

The people's votes would surely count. If the APC loses the entire seats, they have lost.Don't bring any stupid and irrelevant biblical analogy here. Why didn't you call for the PDP and the APC to share the a seats equally in Kano.

Wike is right, once the elections results have been announced by the returning officers, only the elections tribunal can cancel it.

What is stopping you from removing the immunity? Buhari and his cat of ubima has been disgraced by Wike. Unless he dies,he will be the governor of Rivers state until 2023

Wike got it spot on, it is constitutionally wrong to cancel an already declared result except if you're looking for the obvious.
What does APC really want? The level of killings in the state and political thuggery has shown only selfishness and poor governance.

The APC led administration is showing us a glimpse of what is to come in 2019, that the 'do or die' politics in the past is only a joke. They're at the helm of affairs on a false change mantra because all I've seen since their inception is lies, deceit, propaganda and suffering metted on Nigerians.

But how far can Electoral Laws go to curtail Dictator Buhari's plot to hide under APC to have his Fulani take control of oil producing states, and continue with Islamization of Nigeria?

Buhari is plotting to invoke the Laws of Emergency to take over Rivers state.
