Wrong move. I don't think anyone should be honoured by the government for passing a test. Awards from the government should be for a person who's added something to the nation. I don't see how graduating with a 5.0 CGPA equates to adding anything to the nation.

He did well, yes. But then what's the impart of his result on the Nigerian populace? Having a good result doesn't automatically mean you've imparted on life or ever will. Awards should rather go to people who have done this and not people who excelled in the tools necessary to impart life.

He can be sponsored on a scholarship for a higher degree because of this potential but he should not be celebrated by the country because he's not done anything for her but himself. When he does something for the country then should he be rewarded. So far what he's achieved is only for himself.

Why the beef bro? Wole soyinka dah was honoured, na for nigeria?

Do you want us to talk about the bread seller or you want to talk about this guy and the house of rep?

recognising him for his achievements is a step in the right direction. Academic excellence has been under rated so much in this country and for this country to attain industrialization encouraging people like Ayodele is a step in the right direction. All these would motivate students in school to strive in their academics.

Achievement:Highest CGPA in Nigeria and also the first to attain 5.0 both in his university and in Nigeria. If you are a graduate you should know that is not an easy feat.

FOR WHOM: HIMSELF because he has made getting a job so Easy for himself. He can't get discriminated by grades for any job in his field he wants to apply for.

HIS SCHOOL: putting their name on the map as the first university in Nigeria to produce 5.0 CGPA.that can't be forgotten easily.
THE SOCIETY: Serving as a source of motivation to students in school that hard work pays and nothing is impossible.

No he's not. And the first should not be celebrated. He only achieved a very personal success that's if he actually tied his idea of success to that.
He is reported to be the first NIgerian in a Nigerian university to have a perfect Cgpa. This puts him among NIgeria's first. Such as the first Nigerian to do something in the country which is celebrated and read in the history books. What contribution did the first Nigerian woman to own a car contribute to the country None but we still read about her in the history books because she is a first. Or the first Nigerian indigenous pilot contribute to Nigeria. He is still celebrated as a first in the history books.

Lololololololol.

First, he's not the first to do that. Look up someone already debunked that and the person he even used is also not the first.

Very good you say himself. Why should anyone be given a special honour for rewarding themselves?

Lol. He's not the first bro. And tell me why we shouldn't reward the cattle rearer on the streets who have perfected the art of cattle rearing but everything he makes goes to his pockets? Or why we shouldn't reward the vulcanizer who has perfected the art but everything he makes goes to him?

This argument is baseless because you are relying on other peoples unverified post to back up your claims. This said guy is the reported and verifiable first so officially he is the first.

My dear, you go shout taya. This country can never get what you're saying. They will only accuse you of jealousy. See the course the outstandingly brilliant guy studied. I wonder whether we won't need him afterall to evaluate the mental condition of our politicians and Nigerians at large. In my days, we know the courses our brilliant students chose to study at university. They have the courage to face the high cut-off point that JAMB would demand. Now, learning from my own tragedy, I also asked my younger ones to study the easiest courses that would guarantee them a very high class of degree and that's exactly what they did and they're enjoying now. Isn't it banks and oil companies most of them would be working for anyway? It's all about self my dear - there's no concerted co-ordinated national effort to develop Nigeria which would have placed strategic minds in strategic positions.
In any case, it's still better than celebrating musicians, comedians, fashion and beauty pageants - but only just. NIGERIA IS A JOKE!

so what are you insinuating now?He shouldn't be recognised or what?He haas done the unthinkable. That kind of feat only happens once a while. At least he breaks a record in academic which you and I know that it is not practically easy in contemporary nig.Education excellence should be encouraged and not giving cold feet as you are rightly portraying.Success is relative when comparing with what is obtainable in UI,my alma mata.Pls give him a break
