Silly post... Very silly post from a silly Arsenal fan bringing nonsense club rivalry into this.

Iwobi and Nacho are two super big prospects for Nigeria and believe it or not Nacho is the face of Nigeria's Generation Next supported by the cast of Iwobi, Success, Sadiq Umar and a super host of others young super talents.

Nacho is an attacking midfielder/Forward "Super Hybrid". In other words, he's a No.10 and No.9 rolled into one player. His skillset is diverse as he can function as AN AMF, A Support Striker/2nd Striker (withdrawn forward role), A Centre forward/Top 9, and an Attacking Right Winger.

Iwobi is an Attacking midfielder/Attacking winger who can also play centrally in midfield. He can play the No.10 role (AMF), Right wing and left wing.

So why compare two lads who are friends? Iwobi even said his best and closest pal in the Super Eagles team is Iheanacho.

Nacho plays with the best Striker in the EPL. You no dey fear??

Post something "reasonable" next time. Nonsense!!!

Tap-ins?? Like seriously??

Is positioning not also a skill to be mastered?? How many players have that??

His goals against Tottenham (EPL), Hull City (Capital one), Aston Villa (FA Cup) are all tap-ins abi?? Stop this hate and bias.

It really sucks.

kumakunta:
But his right. When we look at space covered in matches by the two. Iwobi has played less matches tho. Nacho has better positioning for goals, that's why he gets so many tap ins.

Array of stars. The trick will be in the choice of starting line up. I trust Sia 1 to give us a very good team that will play a free flowing football and a beautiful game, capped with a victiry with a comfortable margin. I hope the Kaduna pitch is not as bad as the Egyptians are already lamenting. Good luck to the Super Eagles.

I don't quite agree with the guy you quoted but even you yourself aren't making any sense. Nacho with trophy and Iwobi battling top four? Dude, man city would trade their Mickey Mouse Carling Cup for a top four finish which they look increasingly unlikely to make

Why should I hate him? Are we dragging for same shirt in man city or the Eagles? Kelechi is a very good player, a combination of solkjaer and nisterooy. I only gave my view talking about his work rate between him and iwobi.
While iwobi loves to go for the ball at every corner of the pitch, nacho prefers to stay calm and take his chances from a sleeping defence.
Meanwhile go back and watch his ( nacho ) goal clips and come back here to tell us if it's not as a result of good positions. Which is the hallmark of a good striker anyway.

Nope, you're wrong. Nacho's a no.10/no.9 Super Hybrid kinda player. He's more Pele/Messi/Silva combo. His skillset suggests such.

Nacho and Iwobi don't have to play the same way. Why should they?? Just because you prefer one doesn't make another less excellent.

Nacho's hybrid abilities as a Top striker (#9), attacking midfielder (#10), support striker, and attacking right wing forward/Right Winger make his intelligence with the ball and space quite magnificent. He doesn't have to run into every space or reach all corners of the pitch BUT IF YOU DO FOLLOW NACHO, YOU'LL SEE HE FIGHTS FOR THE BALL IN FORWARD AREAS and does track back when put on the wings.

Iwobi is another rising gem whose Football IQ revolve around his abilities as an attacking winger/attacking central midfielder. He has power added to his pace and skills. He's a right/left winger and a #10 (due to his abilities to play central attacking midfield).

So you can see that they aren't even the same kind of players.
............................

Back to Nacho:
Nacho is not good. He's excellent yet he's a kid still growing in the game. In Messi's first full season as a 19-yr old at FC Barcelona, he scored 9 goals from more game time in terms of minutes.
Nacho's already on 9 goals in the 2015/16 season in far lesser time (plus having 6 assists). Even Cristiano Ronaldo got 8 while he was 19/20 and played much more minutes than Nacho at that age.

And did you actually READ my comments?? I asked if excellent positioning is common to all forwards. I asked how many strikers have that.

You said he scores TAP-INs.... And I cited some games where his goals weren't TAP-INs (I even left out Crystal palace in the Capital one). Stop shifting the argument bro and accept the facts on ground... Iheanacho is the face of Nigeria's "Generation Next" in soccer which boasts of other super youngsters (like Alex "the magnificent" Iwobi, Sadiq Umar, Moses Simon, Isaac Success, Wilfred Ndidi, Chidozie Awaziem, and a host of other young super talents) coming through. That's a fact y'all have to live with.

This is not a serious statement is it? Kelechi is hands down better and Kelechi is never a striker. Kelechi is a Pirlo type player or Ozil like ( more of Pirlo), he is been wasted as a striker.
Re: Mikel Obi, Odion Ighalo Arrive Super Eagles Camp For Egypt AFCON Clash by TheSuperNerd(m): 2:24pm On Mar 22, 2016
Pirlo is a deep-lying central midfield player (one who can play as an AMF but in a deep-lying role. A #10 in a disguised #4 or central position but not further forward). Kelechi Nwakali showed part of the pirlo quality at the last U-17 world cup. Note that K.Nwakali (just signed for your club, Arsenal, is a yaya toure/pirlo/Xavi kinda midfielder. He's another special midfield talent that'll break into Arsenal's main squad when he starts featuring... It will happen #smiles Iwobi and K.Nwakali in Arsenal's 1st team... Watch out.....)
................
But Iheanacho is not a deep-lying midfielder. He's more of a deep-lying "forward" whose abilities lie between a central attacking(creative) midfielder and a deep-lying striker. He's simply what is called "a super-hybrid" player with combined abilities of a #9 and #10. SO HE'S NOT BEING WASTED AS A STRIKER. HE'S A STRIKER TOO COZ HE HAS STRIKER QUALITIES.

BUT HE'S MORE THAN A STRIKER. He's a clinical finisher but he's also more than a finisher.

**The last bolded aren't my words but the words of Pellegrini himself**

The stats even say so... 9 goals and 6 assists so far in far less than 600-700 mins of football.

So he's not being wasted as a striker. It's just like Messi who can play as a striker, a support stiker, an AMF, and a right wing forward. THAT'S IHEANACHO's skill-set spectrum. He's more of a Messi/Pele/Silva/Weah kinda player. He's a super hybrid.

Whats your take on the combination Nacho, Iwobi and the new kid Nathan Oduwa, new invitee for the U23 for the friendly against Brasil.
He plays for Tottenham but on loan to Colchester I think.

Re: Mikel Obi, Odion Ighalo Arrive Super Eagles Camp For Egypt AFCON Clash by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:25pm On Mar 22, 2016
Yeah, I know Nathan Oduwa. He's quite gifted as a winger. He's direct, pacy and has decent dribbling skills and a few tricks... He's a rising talent on the wings.

He's primarily a left-winger who can also feature as a right-winger.

I'll love to see him in action against Brazil this thursday. I Hope he impresses. #smiles

On seeing him combine with Nacho and Iwobi..... Hmm... Quite possible (and it would be another delicious combo) but I'm afraid it depends on the formation and tactics employed. Also, he has a few other young super talents ahead of him in the pecking order for our U-23. But I wanna see Oduwa prove his mettle and show why he should make the final squad for the U-23.

We also got flying left-wingers like Moses Simon and Stanley Dimgba @ U-23 level ahead of him.
So hopefully, Nathan brings something "unique" to the team and we may just see him in Rio. #smiles

It's great seeing the rise of another "possible" Golden Generation for Nigerian Football. Just take a look AGAIN at the others, Iwobi, Success, Awaziem, Simon Moses, Alampasu, Ndidi, the Nwakali brothers (Chidiebere and Kelechi), Victor Osimhen, Sadiq Umar and a host of other young Nigerian super soccer talents in Europe and even in Nigeria.

Nigeria is the future of world soccer. **@Bolded... The words of a straight-talking british soccer analyst based in Manchester**
