This was gej's idea and part of the agricultural revolution to boost local production; he did that in fish importation which led to the rice in fish farming during his tenure, just like obj did with poultry and life chicken. But Pmb thought he could sidestep it when he lifted the ban last October. Now he has seen that as a wrong move and he wants to correct himself.
I am looking back to the days when our local farmers had ready market for their produce.

whatever reasons given for the ban is nothing
but pure act of wickedness and non challancy to the plight of nigerians who are living on less than $10 per day. cos the aftermath effect of this is that
civil servants collecting pea nuts as salaries and those of them that has no salaries since months back will now go on hunger sprey. the price of the commodity will rice in the market cos only those useless rich importers will now dictate the price it will go for. imagine they will use all manners of indices like restriction on quota importation, high cost of dollar etc. i weep for this country.NIGERIA.

hi, i think the question is this: why is it always very expensive to import anything through our nigrrian ports compared to the land boarders even if you decide to pay your dues . the fact rwmainsbthat there ia high level xorruption and racketeering at the sea poerts or why do you think custom officers love to be posted to ports . its simply becausenof ijekuje things. check an avarage custom officers and i will tell you thatthey have so much properties that doesnt correlate with their income.
