in mathematics, people always hv dis wrong notion dat anything raise to power 0 is 1 and it is not true. Anything raise to power 0 is either 1 or -1 depend on d number. for positive numbers it is 1 dat is 5^o is 1 and for negative numbers dat is -5^0 is -1.
