I got Infinix hot note 2gb RAM last year and it was pretty amazing. The specs were amazing and everything was working fine. Fast forward to February, 2016, I noticed my phone started charging for longer hours. On average, 10 hours to charge fully, it's not the charger, I use the original follow come charger, moreso, I've tried other chargers to no avail.
Not only that, my fone stopped seeing Pc, it only charge whenever I connect it. I was told to upgrade it via OTA but it keeps telling me I'm on the latest version. Still running on KitKat tho.
I dunno how to upgrade it when it's not connecting to the pc.
Please help

The phone's charging port is faulty, take it to carlcare or a good phone engineer for a replacement of the phone's charging IC. Your phone should be OK after that

same happened 2 me, fixed it myself in less Dan 3 hrs.. u can fix it yourself.. ur USB cable is no longer good, u can get an original USB cable at about 1k or get another infinix charger at about 2500.. upgrade d fone by using sp flash tool..
Download d exact ROM file for for ur fone ... u can search tru google nd you'll find it...
NOTE : Download d rom file for 2gb ram + 16gb rom cause u might see d one 4 1gb ram nd mistake it for ur fone type..
Download sp flash tool...
extract all dis files too ur system..
Now, extract or unzip d flashtool by using winrar or any of ur system apps..
After that, Run d flashtool, click on scatter loading, click on d file u downloaded, click on firmware upgrade in d flashtool, now click on download, u can now plug in ur fone.. make sure ur fone is switched off b4 u plug it... Allow it 2 finish downloading in 2 ur fone.. unplug ur fone, it will take time 2 boot, don't worry...

Diz might not be d best of instructions buh if u can't do it, take it 2 any computer village or Fone shops near u ND ask Dem 2 upgrade u too lollipop.. e no go pass 1k..



dis will definitely solve ur problemzz..

Your charging port is very OK..telling u cos it happened 2 me, my fone is OK now.. if u change d charging port I bet u it'll still continue nd you'll loose yur follow come port..you'll start aving issues with ur fone afta dat.. Just upgrade ur fone wid system nd change ur charger with original infinix charger ND ur fone is gud 2go

Bros, take it to carlcare. Exact same thing happend to my hot note some months ago. Your fone will eventually not be able to be charged at all. I took it to carlcare and it was repaired and fone was working perfectly. After about 3months, the problem resurfaced. Quite sad bcoz I dnt have warranty anymore.

D system doesn't need 2 see d fone as far as it is charging from d system, Switch d fone off nd flash it with d sp flashtool as I stated above

Sorry oo if am bogging u with plenty questions but wen i went to meet d guy doing the upgrade he said i needed to change my charging port.... Am just confused. Please help

as long as it doesn't show u ''usb not recognized'' when u connect it to pc then u can u pgrade i helped a friend havin same issue upgrade his. Could help u out if u stayed in ph

Hello, I actually tried it but it did not upgrade. My question now is, how many minutes/hours does the upgrading takes and aside the green mark, is there anything that would appear on my screen for me to know it's upgrading?

it takes less dan 8mins and you'll know from ur PC cos it'll b loading at d bottom screen of ur flash tool ..

Shey You can't upgrade your phone by going to settings/about phone/system update

Same problem here, mine is Infinix Hot Note 2GB version. It charges but it takes hours to charge, but today it miraculously flash charged, although it is not the follow come USB the charger is follow come. I'm just hoping it doesn't resurface

This Phone wahala is Just too much And frustrating, I am using the 2gb ram version as well, for months now it has been one problem to another, follow come charger doesn't charge the device, bought a new charger that charges reasonably well that also after a month won't charge the Phone.
Infinix should do something about this.

If your phone have automatic upgrade you can upgrade by going to system update

I didn't know on time I wouldn't Have plunged my hard earned money into buying their Phone.

Pls guys my phone is just restarting by itself.instead of booting to d end it wi'll b loading my apps den it will restart again.what can I do

The phone is just craxy am having this same issue now, my phone takes longer to charge to 43% and when i try to flash the lollipop rom through spflash the phone will keep charging.. The phone is so frustrating i regret buying the shii self.
