What is the essence of this when you have the ministers and appropriate organs of government for mass orientation and information dissemination. This is definitely another waste of tax payers fund and of course an exercise that is not sustainable. We already have the presidential media chat where people can phone in and ask there questions.

If he wants to begin campaign for 2019 let him simply say so rather than this jamboree. There is so much work to be done enough of playing to the gallery

We want to see action in employment, education, security,food supply etc.

I would not sit back and complain of ineffectiveness when I have a chance to prepare for the town hall meeting close to my location. I would prepare my list and if possible profer solutions to ailing elements in our society. Better to try than sit back and fold hands.

Let the government discuss with the people (I just hope the meeting is going to be open to the masses) and tell us the way forward. Tell us what is really going on '(hoping that they would be honest enough) and what role we are suppose to play.

People will then bring their grievances and suggestions forward, which will be taken into consideration for the betterment of the country.

Instead of typing 'Buhari is a dullard' or 'Put the ineffectual GEJ in prison already'...
Just say it at that Town Hall Meeting.

Many didn't see that the topic read "presidency" or they probably can't discern between president & presidency.

This is actually very commendable. There has been a CHANGE in the system; where the vice-president is not just an office, we actually have an active vice-president, unlike what we used to have in the past.

We are all aware of the fact that the former Vps only showed up in activities where the president can't - just representing not so active.

This is like killing two birds with one stone; while the President seeks to rally international support & investment(s), the VP & other executives are active locally.

We have always wanted to air our opinions for & against goverment policies, this reduces aparthy & gives the people a sense of belonging -- if properly carried out.

LOL. If this happens wailers & zombies go leave Nairaland dey begin find the nearest townhall. grin

Please help me tell them. I just wonder what they see or have seen. Besides contesting for presidency, what has Buhari contributed to the development of this Nation or even his immediate community or state? Doesnt charity begin at home again? A man who was so desperate to the extent of swearing that if he doesn't win the presidency, "the blood of the dog and baboon will be soaked in blood", same blood if the people he claims to care about now? Well he doesn't. He only came to power to settle scores. Nothing can come out of an old vengeful illiterate who thinks he knows all, not in the world of today.

Yes we need it but is it legal?? For some groups of people to come out with a report on how a country will be govern, is there any place for this in our constitution ??

I am not against the implementation of confab report but if the question up there is not yet answered confab report can NEVER be implemented.

And who needs your town hall meeting anyways? I will suggest you redirect your energy and resources to something else. Like look for some more overseas tour for PMB.
