For one, i never said the Batman v Superman didn't have its downsides, i only said the negative reviews were blown out of the water, not all critics gave negative reviews and the general viewing audience thought more of it than the critics (those that gave a negative review) did. I also claimed Multiple times pre-sold out tickets do not account for 100% of the total box office earnings for BvS till date. The Fantastic four 2015 movie opened worldwide as well and only made $168 million total, so your theory that the only reason BvS would reach $1b if it does is because it opened worldwide (regardless or ticket costs) is wrong.

BvS does indeed have plot holes and its downsides but a whole lot of people enjoyed the movie much more than you did and same goes for Transformers. Your opinion is your own and i stressed that another reason Transformers crossed $1b and maybe BvS, is because more people enjoyed and thought higher of it than you did, despite any negative review.
Actually, I never explicitly stated $1b in this post with respect to BvS, I simply stated that it would make money. I only stated the billion with Bay films & how box office is not always a valid excuse. I simply stated ways how the film could make a lot of money. I've stated in a previous post that I believed it would only make a billion if a Faustian deal was made or fanboys were camping at their local cinema. Fant4stic is a combination of some behind the scenes f**kups with the director & executives, I'm still surprised the film actually got released. At one point, it felt like I was watching 3 different films in one sitting and Sue's hair kept distracting me with the obvious blonde wig they used during the reshoots. That film went downhill once that "1 year later" placard turned up. You see folks paid attention to the reviews from both critics & average Joes. See last year's disappointment - Jupiter Ascending. Excellent world building, excellent story, terrible execution (the script needs Jesus). The film has only gained cult status with girls thanks to social media (especially Tumblr) saying it's our version of Star Wars, even though it's all kinds of crap. I can now watch it and laugh, I obviously wasn't laughing when I initially watched it in the cinema...

Look at Deadpool, did anybody see that coming? Deadpool had the best marketing campaign, with BvS' campaign a close second, for crying out loud Betty White, America's sole surviving Golden Girl, made a video about it. Word of mouth has helped Deadpool. Did you know it's now the highest grossing X-Men film in America? It's also the second highest X-Men film worldwide, it's only needs about $1.8 million to become the highest. It's on track to become the highest grossing R film. It's only been out for 45 days/6 weeks (using US date, I know UK got it a few days earlier). BvS needs to make $600-$800 million, because if the $58 million Deadpool, a 2D R-rated film that's currently banned in China makes $800 million then it will be all kinds of embarrassing. And I actually really want to watch Wonder Woman & the other DCEU films.

EDIT: Apologies for the incorrect moniker.

those of us that have seen the movie should really be discussing what we just saw, what you like what you didn't and what could be improved upon instead of all this epistle I dey read.
am hearing that there was some clues to darkseid appearance in later movie present in BvS

@moneyallowed hdrip out in two weeks ? abi you know something we don't know.
Lol I'm just estimating. Usually movies open in US and most European countries first before opening in China and India, cos a week or two after opening in these countries, pirated HD copies magically appear on the net. These two countries are a pirates dream. Using Deadpool as an example, only the CAMrip was available on the Internet till like a week and half ago, because, you guessed it, China.

BvS opened worldwide in all countries simultaneously, China and India included, it's a big risk but they need people to go out and see before bad reviews/press kill the hype. So I'm guessing 2 weeks at most we'll have a reasonably clear copy online, it definitely won't take 1-2 months

yea, u have a point there bro cos the camrip just came out a day after the film's release. I guess following ur logic the HD versi0n would be out mid april or late.

Things I loved

-Ben Affleck killed it. Admit it, we were all wrong. The chemistry he had with Alfred was on point. Wish Alfred got more scenes. Also wth happened to Lucius Fox? He just disappeared from the planet, they didn't even mention him in the movie. Weird. Morgan Freeman must be pissed. This ninja Punisher style Batman has the best action scenes hands down of any onscreen bat, Bale included. The best was the Martha Kent rescue. My favourite scene in the entire movie was the final fight with Doomsday when Superman & Wonder Woman are giving it to the ugly mofo then Batman looks at the level of these guys and decides they're out of his league. My guy just shifted back and tried not to die. Then when it was looking like Supes/WW were wondering where is this useless Batman sef?, he tosses a grenade and gives them that look like, omo I try abi? Hilarious

-Wonder Woman. She should have gotten more screen time. Everyone is raving about her performance but she was barely there. The little we got was cool tho. I love her accent.

-Batman v Superman fight: I don't like it took so long or that it was so short but boy was this awesome. This is what I paid money for

What I Hated

-What does Lex really want? They never explained his reasoning. The characterisation made him look like a madman, but he's not like Joker/madman, he's Lex, with a plan. Seriously disappointed. At times it felt like I was watching a poor imitation of a hybrid Riddler/Joker. I don't understand how Lex got this alien ship technology info on meta humans and suddenly has the landline of Darkseid. His plan makes no sense because we don't understand his motivations - blow up the Senate building and kill his assistant? Why? Kill superman? Why? Why did he even use his DNA when it could be tracked back to him. Also how on earth will the Capitol of all places get blown up and the only consequence is "Superman is sad"? This is something that should have more impact than 9/11

-So Superman had to die, because of course it's Doomsday and he always kills Superman, so he can rise like Jesus Christ. Did you notice how the movie was just forcing the whole Jesus thingy? The statues, the blood, the worship, the followers, the betrayal....... It's not by force Hollywood, it's not by force

-The Spear, the bloody Spear. How did Lois know the importance of the Spear? It was so funny, she needs it, then she doesn't need it again and throws it away, then she needs it again? And Supes and Batman just left it lying around conveniently? Hmm
Also why didn't Superman give Wonder Woman the Spear to kill Doomsday with when she had showed she was as strong as him and could do the job, when he knew it would kill him, abi he just wanted to die by force?

-Batman kills without mercy, Punisher style, he even wanted to kill Superman , nawa oo. What's the purpose of the branding of criminals, don't understand it. Then Bats changes his entire mind cos he finds out Supes has a mother and his own mother was killed in slow motion when he was little so he knows what it feels like to lose your mother and the mother's name is even Martha sef wow his own mother's name was Martha too wow this must be a sign from God they're meant to be best friendshuh Argggh. His graveside sadness was just fake as well, I mean you wanted to kill this guy 30 minutes ago
The way Batman was brutal they'd better show he's killed all his villains including Joker, that's why he has no one left to fight except Supes or else...

-The dream. That came out of nowhere, and went nowhere. It served no function. Did I miss the part where Flash has a new superpower. So speed force can let you enter people's dreams now. I think I was the only one in my theatre that knew it was Flash, everyone else was like who is that, where did he go?

-Justice League was founded by email while Bats and WW were suited up waiting to bring down Doomsday. Ok . There was no need for that, they should have put it as a post credits scene

Funny, I agree with almost everything you typed, except the batman part. I think he was to clouded by his own rage and fear, he didn't realise he was being played by lex. Supes could have explained that to him in less than 5 mins, but of course he wouldn't have listened considering their previous encounter.
For the post credit scene, I think they didn't want to go that route coz it's more of marvel's signature. The flash appearance would be confusing to non-comic book fans, plus it didn't add anything to the plot.
For everything else, I mostly agree with you. I think they put so much of their world building into this one movie because justice league is close and they'll need to explain a whole lot.

Well that makes sense, Alfred warned him but he didn't listen either. Maybe what he was feeling at the graveside was guilt because he knew it was partly his fault superman died.
Hopefully now that they've done most of their world building Justice League will be a far better movie

Do you think Superman will join them at the beginning of that film or at the end? From Snyder's comments I fear he may not even be in the movie at all, maybe in part 2. He mentioned how powerful superman is and the JL member s having to make do without him

Brother Lee what you love I love...what you hate..ergh...nah..i dont hate, but I hate some
1) The bruce/flash dream scene should be about d future, saying Lois is the key or it should be about d batman v superman fight, saying she would be the one to stop the fight which she did.
2) Lex nah physco guy, one guy sitting beside me asked if he was the joker..lols
3) Lois knows the importance of the spear because she knows doomsday was a kandorian or so sha.,
4) That Alfred guy would play a better Jim Gordon..my thought,
5) Superman can't give WW the spear, she was busy holding doomsday with her rope
6) Y should Bruce and Diana attend Clark Kents Burial, what connections do they have, if it was Batman and WW at Superman's burial in Metropolis, no wahala..
Well that's all I can remember for now...PS: English a little bit rusty..Thanks

I've not watched the BvS but I suspect that superman might appear in JL when all hope seem to be lost. Otherwise, he might decide to maintain low profile until things get out of hand.

Moneyallowed, I also kept wondering where the hell Lucious Fox went to...

Ben Affleck killed it as Batman. After all the sad Batman & other memes, the guy just silenced us with his performance. I enjoyed how he was fully prepared for his fight with Superman, but Doomsday happened and oh boy had to play hide and seek when it was time to fight Doomsday, his ass remembered he was human. We just kept laughing whenever we saw his ass playing hide and seek.

Wonder Woman was awesome, I wish she had more scenes. They could have used some slow mo during the Doomsday fight scene, 'cause sometimes I couldn't actually really see the action. But, her entrance during that scene was sweet though, saving Batman from Doomsday's blast. Oh & that exposition email...!? What the frak?! Was she literally scrolling down slowly to show us a line per scroll? Or was Bruce literally typing it to her in real time? Sometimes, forcibly setting up future characters/plot line in a film can just mess up the flow of a film. Yes, even my dear Marvel messed that up in Age of Ultron with Thor & his Ragnarok pool moment. Although, I did squeal like a schoolgirl when I saw Jason Mamoa as Aquaman...duh it's Jason Mamoa, he's nice on the eyes & Aquaman didn't look like a wuss.

The Flash & dream/vision sequence was a bad call, even though it took a while to realise it was an AU. I was wondering why the hell Batman had a desert costume, then I was wondering why he was outside Gotham, I only finally realised it was an AU when they opened the box. Then Flash happened & I was happy to see him, then I wanted slap someone. They didn't even give us a hint about AUs anywhere, they just dropped the ball and literally ran with it. They said they made the film for the comic fans, they forgot this was a sequel to MoS, which wasn't exclusively made for the comic fans.

Alexander Luthor as your quintessential dot com millionaire annoyed me when I first saw him, I was like this isn't Lex. My sister kept asking me if he was Lex, Jr. (since he kept mentioning his father)...According to Wikipedia, he's actually Lex Jr. But, they had Mercy Graves as his assistant (Lex's assistant from the 90s animated Superman series & the DCAU). Shame we didn't see Mercy's full skills in the film. Although, Alexander actual schemes had their moments & I still believe that his best moment was at the end with the warning, he looked unhinged.

Batman killing bad guys had me asking questions for a few minutes, then I just went he's finally learnt his lesson with all his past enemies. Looks like he got tired after 20 years.

How did Lois Lane know the spear would hurt Doomsday? Does she have a telepathic connection with Superman? How did Superman find out about Bruce's identity? What African deaths were they talking about? Was it the ones that were shot by the bad guys or did they stage another attack or was that chic paid?

Too soon to tell. I'm guessing it will be somewhere in the middle, when all hope seems lost.
I'm curious to see how they explain the resurrection...not superman's resurrection, he's a god after all. They can cook up anything easily and it would make sense. I mean Clark's resurrection. Let's see how that happens.

@moneyallowed
This batman has been existing for awhile maybe that is why we didn't get Lucius and only Nolan's adaptation Don use that character to my knowledge

My feelings are mixed on lex I understood why they went younger and not the "traditional lex character " there was some scenes that worked like the scene on top of that building.
Again if lex was suppose to be a like a self made man why the talk about his wealthy Father's painting?
There is going to be a 3hours "r" rated director cut maybe this will be like watchmen (synder too) where everybody liked the DVD better than the theatrical cut.
I see why the "Martha stuff" didn't work for slot of people it did for me,it showed a side of Superman only Lois has seen to the world he appears invulnerable but here what was to be his dying breath was him pleading for bats to save his Mom.

they need to tone down on the Messiah stuff and make Superman cheer up A little and act like the fate of the world is not his responsibility.

question to all everybody is saying batman killed people but I only saw him maybe kill one man.

Was it the ones that were shot by the bad guys or did they stage another attack or was that chic paid?
n0w, this is my problem with you guys. You c0mplained the m0vie felt rushed and over the place and you want a character that serves no means to the plot in the m0vie. Is that right? Now what do you want lucius fox to do in the film? How do you want him mentioned when he serves no means to the plot? This isn't a batman film so you can't have all his supporting guys in it. Am surprised you didn't even ask for Jim Gordon.

Quick question, does Jim Gordon handle Batman's day to day life? Who creates and maintains Batman's fancy electronic gadgets? Lucious Fox, that's who...Do you not know your Batman characters? You were better off saying Barbara Gordon (AKA Oracle) or Huntress or any of the Robins or even Damien Wayne...any of them would have been better than Jim Gordon. The Fox question is rather valid because we're not used to seeing Alfred as Bruce's engineer/technician/electrician...from the available tv shows and films, we've known Alfred as his valet/butler/first aid/bodyguard/chef/worrier/cancer patient/former black ops specialist...so yeah we were wondering what happened to Lucious Fox.

n0w thats why this m0vie is different fr0m the n0lan verse. C0mics lucius fox was just wayne's c0mpany manager. Bats made his toys and in s0me versi0ns alfred helped out. So get used to it. Fox isn't that vital as Gord0n. Gord0n in a way keeps Bruce checked according to law or fr0m going over the edge. Gord0n is m0re of a friend than c0mic's fox. In fact it was only n0lan who made use of Fox the way it did. Fox wasn't that vital in the c0mics, he was m0re of a cross between felicity of seas0n 1 of arrow minus the hacking and walter steele of arrow. And that was because n0lan never wanted to portray batman as being too much of a genius to make his weapons. And if you lo0k at it, it was silly. Imagine dangote inc made weap0ns and all of a sudden, a vigilante shows up with those, w0n't i make a c0nnecti0n between dangote and the vigilante? Atleast in a literal sense, i would say dangote sp0nsors the guy, and fr0m his size and behaviour i might start to c0nclude they are the same guy.

Well, Lucius Fox has always been a very close Bruce/Batman associate. If you watch Batman: Bad blood, you will find out that Lucius's son, Luke Fox, became a member of the Bat family known as Batwing. I don't know why Lucius wasn't featured in ByS though...

Some deleted BvS scenes recently released showed that Lex was actually influenced by Darkseid or his minions, please watch this video...

30 minute of footages were deleted from the movie, I guess this is why the movie looks so badly edited.

Yeah, I've watched the movie and my score is 8.5/10. In all honesty, this movie was unjustifiably battered by critics. It would appear that there was a tacit agreement to attack this particular work of Zack Snyder. In the country I reside, this movie is the second highest grossing movie of all time for opening weekends. Infact, only Fast and Furious 7 has ever achieved that. The audience stood up to clap thunderously after the movie, the cinema has about 150 seats of which the occupation rate was about 80% this afternoon.
As per the movie, there were some goofs in the plot but not bad enough to earn those insane reviewer comments. I'll give my analysis later. I won't mind going to watch for a second time though grin
...and yeah, if you wanna watch this movie at the cinema, please empty your bladder very well. The movie ran for 2.5 hours, quite long but worthwhile!

MY REVIEW
Although the m0vie had its flaws and the critics were right in a way, its an 8/10 for me. To me the m0vie went too fast paced, no character m0tivati0n, no coherent plot and no straight forward story, in short no story. I couldn't feel for the characters that is to say it had no heart. Its m0re like a trailer for Justice league than a film. The film had no central plot or character. It didn't make us understand if the m0vie was an ensemble m0vie or a character based m0vie. I didn't feel or kn0w who the major characters were. Superman? Batman? Lois lane? Lex luthor? The m0vie just went zig zag but all in all its a g0od m0vie with a storytelling capability that wasn't utilised. Its like the scriptwriter wrote the script for an impr0mptu test or exam. The fault was m0re in the script and editing than in the directi0n but a little bit on the directi0n. For an RT rating, i'll give it a 65% not a 28% it currently is. To me the critics qualms with the film was little m0re than no hum0r or joy but heart and m0tivati0n. Civil war would be m0re better. Am a fan of DC but truth be told.
