What cowards? With Fayose and his agbero lawmakers noise one will think that they have any ball to withstand Buhari. Fayose is a case of empty drum that make the loudest noise, that reninds me of biafra/ipob boys. |

[quote author=dechriscool post=44254704]Nigeria is gradually turning into a failed country of anarchy with attending consequence of crises. How can one explain the persistent terrorizing and intimidating of members of opposition house of assembly to impeach their governor against their wish?when,is it a crime for a Governor to stand out and tell the government at the centre all their ineptitude, cluelessness, directionless, and draconian system of leadership that has being bringing hardship to Nigerians populace?Instead of APC and Buhari to focus on how to curb the sufferings of people queuing for fuels at filling stations, the epileptic power supply, incessant kidnappings, arm robbery, high cost of living and General sufferings of Nigerians. They are busy chasing shadows.Nasi el Rufai,Rotimi Amaechi,Muhammed Buhari, Bola Tinubu,Bisi Akande et al were worst at making provocative crititsms during the last adminstraction.wat goes ard must surely comes ard, where were u?wen fayose was using 5 lawmakers to impeach 19 ma |

hotboz:And so you think that Fayose shouldn't face opposition too? To me, what's happening there is not harassment for harassment sake only, but opposition to his government too. Is Fayose party not the ruling party in Ekiti? The way he has thrown to the dogs decency in the name of opposing government at centre, so also should be given to him that he should mind his own primary business of governing Ekiti people. The kpomo cutting Governor MUST be educated anyhow to know that as he's Governor of a state in nigeria, Buhari is the Governor of the entire nigeria. And as such they are partners in progress who are supposed to complement one another, not necessarily go at variance. That nigeria is a composite state does not mean somebody is not in charge. This time around Buhari APC is in charge, rightly or wrongly. After elections all sides are supposed to work closely for the country's interest. That's decency, that's democracy. Opposition is not madness. He should be tainted in a language he understand best. In fact, it has long been overdue. |

megaweight:Some people have memory problem. Where were you when a sitting Governor was denied access to enter his office? In case you don't know, in a house that over 22 members, 5 were used against 19 to impeach the speaker; as was not enough, the 19 law makers who were against were chased out of Ekiti state by the Governor. I guess since all these happened under PDP, was not ''rascality'' according to you. Let be objective and stopped being hypocrites. |

mbeheddy:Nobody is against opposition because it's what makes democracy. However, are we saying that in democracy the security personnel have no right to questions opposition figures who have one case or the others to answer? Besides, opposition is not madness. It's not about one wishing for worst every time just because the person or party one supports or belongs to has lost election. Tell me one country that would tolerate destructive comments. Even you, I wish that you re read your last sentence and reflect on it, whether there is objectivity in what you wrote. What about the increased tempo against the Boko Haram and to minimize corruption? If bringing to book culprits is what you described as intimidation & harassment, so be it. Does who wish to wail can wail. |

ezivision:So what is the past error? That election was conducted more than 3 times and PDP won, is that an error? That Fayose talks loud criticizing the government, is that a wrong thing to do even as we all have freedom of speech & association. Please, let's not bring politics to this, this is bad and not good for our democracy. Nigerians must condemn this. |

Untainted007:Everyone cannot keep quiet in the face of evil and gross incompetence. That you chose to does not mean another should. Fayose is a citizen with right under the law. If Buhari believes he has contravened the law, he should seek redress. We are in a civil society, not in 83-85 era. Buhari is living in the past, using old tools to do 21st century job. Tell the dictator of daura that we are in a democracy. |

Nigeria is truly sitting on keg of gunpowder and i am sure Bubu and his APC will surely ignite the fire that will consume them and this country soon. Herdsmen killing and maiming people in East, north central,BH and Shiites disturbances in the north and now stoking of lawlessness in Ekiti and beyond. Truly this monster in Aso Rock feeds on human blood.... |

Running is mouth anyhow is his own headache since talk is cheap. I'm sure Ekiti pple are regretting to have given him another chance, salaries are not paid, schools dat were free before has been imposed by tuition fee even to the private schools, university fee has bn increased. He should thank his star dat its not OBJ did time. He can't forget so soon how he swallowed all his negative insults on OBJ dat he has to be begging around. ogene007: |

So are u saying, the likes of Dasuki and the air force officers are only accused wrongly. I know practically most Nigerians hate facing reality. Let's call a spade a spade. Had it been GEJ was reelected all dis facts would have been kept from the public. OpinionCounts: |

gawu1:Do I dispute ur assertions? The answer is no. But either way, using military as a form of harassment is wrong in its entirety. There are ways of dealing with opposition without necessarily resorting to physical harassment. Fayose has silenced opposition in Ekiti, no doubt about that but two wrongs they say don't make a single right. The earlier we start advocating for right processes regardless of party or individual affiliations, the best for this country. Peace brother! |

Untainted007:Bros, for once, forget APC or PDP. Ask yourself, is Fayose lying in what he says? Does he speak the truth? No president was insulted the way APC politicians insulted GEJ. How many did he arrest? In fact Musa Kwankwaso and El-Rufai were two outstanding examples you know of. Buhari thinks we are still ih military era wherethe guns determine everything. When lai mohammed was coming with all the falsehood(some were true though) was he arrested? |

hotboz:You are the underaged commentator on this thread. From what the lawmakers said above, the matter at hand relates to the public accusation of electoral fraud levelled against the Gov by his former party secretary.Remember that the Gov encouraged law enforcement agencies to go after the guy. If in investigating the matter, names of participants includes top govt functionaries in the state, how does that portend danger to democracy? So confessed electoral fraudsters and their cohorts should be allowed to fester because they are lawmakers? |
