But the articles says it is the traditional leaders of the area that claim they were not compensated by the previous government when their lands were taken. Yet money from the SWF was taken out for compensation and building. So where is the money? |

Pray tell, like many other ongoing road projects in the country, is the Lagos-Ibadan expressway project not being abandoned? Has the 2016 budget been signed into law, which will hitherto see the contractors back to sites? Why couldn't GEJ, with all his 'love' for the SE complete the project during his 7 year or so reign? With all the hatreds you have for Buhari, you still crave his assents for developmental projects in the SE. What do the SE actually want?!!!! |

unstableaswater:Oh don't be such a hypocrite. How many times did you condemn the Ineffectual Buffoon when he was on the saddle- oh, I forgot, he was absolutely flawless!! Get my drift, I'm simply reminding some barrelheads what their hero once said he'd accomplish in 4years otherwise he'd go on exile. Of course he didn't, neither did he go on exile, yet they still supported him and being the gaudy hypocrites they are, they expect Buhari to do everything he promised within a year. That I cannot accept bro. Wanna look for whom to advice, look in the mirror and speak to the reflection you see. Good night. |

aluk:Please do not talk about Lagos Ibadan Express way that is not a SW project . What we need in SW is Lagos Osogbo and Lagos Ekiti Expressway Lagos Ibadan is just a small part of the Lagos -Kano road it is not for us. We are wise now and we have woken up.. The SW is very backward and marginalized and we need FEDERAL PRESENCE in Ogbomosho, Okitipupa,Ado Ekiti and Akure |

unstableaswater:Why is it that Oshiomole said that $700m was withdrawn from the SW fund for that project yet nobody is questioning the where about of the money and yet the project is uncompleted? |

I am tired trying to convince some igbos about Buhari. Just look at some of them saying it is because Buhari hates ndigbo dats why the second niger bridge was stopped. For God sake the budget has not been passsed and the project is already among the projects of the Ministry of Power, works and Housing. One even said its the most important construction project in Nigeria, what of Apapa- Oshodi and Lagos - ibadan expressway are they not more important than this 2nd Niger Bridge. So most of these igbos shd stop been sentimental and face real issues |

Much ado about nothing! How can work continue on the project when money hasn't been released? Can someone kindly mention the federal works project that happened in the entire 2015? Buhari just had his first budget passed last week and N17billion was budgeted for the said 2nd Niger bridge. The same last week, a N350billion stimulus was released to resume abandoned federal projects and the finance minister rightly announced that the priority projects are the Lagos Ibadan road and the 2nd Niger Bridge. So what exactly is this large scale wailing all about? http://www.punchng.com/n350bn-package-lagos-ibadan-expressway-2nd-niger-bridge-to-benefit/ Adaure4ever: Stolen:Please when we want to wail, let's do it with a little bit of wisdom and with some due diligence in getting the right info first. |

[quote author=Stolen post=44288995]Buhari hates the igbo but cannot tolerate Biafra. [/quote These guys are funny. Wht GEJ who has their unalloyed support with wanton revenue did not do in six year, they want the one who they so hate and call names to do in ten months with lean revenue. Abi na only for yahooyahoo them get sense |

There is very little money to make from maintaining, continuing or renovating old projects. The major money to steal is from creating new and oftentimes senseless projects. I learned that on quora. Would post the link if I get mentions. |

Of all the tribes in Nigeria the only tribe that always cry wen wen wen wen is no other but Igbos, so irritating. The obi of Onitsha saying that they are side tracked in the transaction should say what is his contribution in installing the transaction, shameless man, he should go to Otueke and get involve in the transaction of the most corrupt ineffectual buffoon. |

can't we igbos see how we are sabotaging ourselves. Claiming you have not been settled in the contract by the onitsha council members or whoever. illiteracy is disastrous. if it were to be some other tribe doing this, we'll all be shouting marginalisation. let's learn to have each other's backs |

Stolen:I see no need for the outrage. Is Biafra no longer achievable? At least when Biafrans have all succeeded in moving back home,it would now be to bomb the current bridge to prevent Nigerians from reaching them. That is the major boundry between Nigeria and Biafra *winks* |
