your ethnic group is the one mocking itself by online chest beating, online gloating over nothing, inferiority-complex laden comments, insults and curses to other ethnic groups in the country... I could go on and on, but why bother,

Like I said, igboland has no oil! Chevron and Agip also has offices in Lagos, does that mean they produce oil? And what oil are you even talking of? Even Borno state is susceptible to hold some oil reserves, does that mean it's economically explorable? And as reported by NNPC, the only two igbo states with oil, Imo and Abia, produce less than 4% of Nigeria's production. Is that what you call oil?

This thread is not intended to thrash or speak ill of any tribe. So please no tribalism here.

There is one particular tribe in Nigeria that is becoming a thorn on everyone's flesh. **** They are one of the most respected tribes in this country, but they have disillusioned themselves to belief they are being mistreated. They think they are slaves, but they are kings.

People from this tribe usually say something that vex people from my tribe. Whenever we hear them say it, we mock them in our heart but often keep quiet, because afterall we are one. Or at least, they think we are one. They have come to accept our kinsmen as theirs, they have come to accept our children as theirs, and above all, they claim our land as theirs. This is very annoying! We are two distinct people! Our differences are as plain as the Oasis of the Moroccan part of The Sahara.

But we love this tribe. They are very industrious. They are hard working. Their daughters are as beautiful as queen nefertiti. And mostly, they are good people, and very cheerful.

But all we say is this, IGBO is not Niger Delta!
Don't refer to us as yourselves!
Don't refer to our land as yours!
And above all, don't claim our Oil!

Last time I heard, IGBOs are minorities in Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Rivers state. So please, where is this oil you always claim? And the thing that baffles me is that other Nigerian tribes have also come to believe the fallacy of IGBO oil.

These are the five IGBO states: Annambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu & Imo. And in all this five states, there is no single OIL. Or at least, no oil can be economically extracted.

****but please, NEVER refer to our God-given, and very promising country, Nigeria, as a ZOO.

I apologize to well meaning Igbos. You are great people. This thread is for the myopic ones (which can also be found in any other tribe).

On this note, I rest my pen. To my Urhobo brothers, waving my hat, I say Wa do! And on behalf of other Niger Deltans, I say One Nigeria!

Most of the things you said here are right. But we don't BLAME others for our own woes. We accept responsibility for our own shortcomings.

You IGBOs need to grow up. And for once, accept responsibility for your political failures.

You all hate Rochas Okorochas, when in fact he should be your HERO. Do you think you can win a presidential election without the support of other major tribes? That's where the Hausa's are wise. Even with their large population, they know they can't win unless they have support.

Instead of you to be courting other tribes for support, you are further alienating yourselves with your secessionist chants.

What is your wish? Biafra? You know that will not happen without a serious war. And it's not only in Nigeria, it's all over the world. No country would allow a part of it to secede without strong resistance.

When the war comes are you ready to fight it? Forget what Kanu and others are saying. It's easier to agitate for war if your family and loved ones won't be at the war front.

If you are going to secede without bloodshed, you need igbos to be in powerful federal positions. And no tribe can be elected president without the support of at least another major tribe. That's why you guys need to support Rochas. Politics is not played with hard stance. Sometimes you need to compromise in order to achieve a greater goal

So you concluded that I'm from Osun state based on this post:

Rochas didn't sell anyone. He only chose to follow where his political ambition could be catered for. The same way you willingly voted for GEJ without anyone coming for your head, was the same way Rochas threw his back behind APC. He never killed anyone on behalf of APC, neither did he seized ballot boxes nor used thugs to maim his opponents. Despite his support for Buhari, PDP still cleared all polling booths in Imo state.
The only crime he committed was that he threw his back behind APC and tried as much as possible to show Ndigbo reason why PDP was anti-Igbo and why supporting APC was the closest road to actualizing the Presidency. I understood Rochas point then because it was pure absurdity drowning our political ambition for a Goodluck who lacks every features of a charismatic leader. We drowned with the Lily-livered man and now we are paying the price of that foolish decision.
I think it's time many of us bury this herd mentality and see things clearly. Rochas is one of us and no matter how bad we loathe him, he still has the brightest chance of becoming President than others who sold their birthright for a minority whose people have always shown disdain towards us.

For those saying there is no Oil in Igboland, let me use Izombe Oguta as an example via Wikipedia, please read.

Izombe in the northeast of Niger Delta is an oil-rich town in Njaba River basin,Imo State Southeastern Nigeria. Located in Oguta Local Government,Izombe is some 30 kilometres from Owerri and 150 kilometres north of Port Harcourt. It covers about 59 km2 in Njaba River basin, South East Nigeria. The estimated human population as of 1991 National Census was 86,565.

Oil exploration in Izombe area started in the early 1960s.Three major multinational oil companies including ChevronTexaco, Shell and Addax Petroleum operate in the area, producing over 70% of total oil from Oguta Local Government. Ossu (some 55 km south of Onitsha), Izombe and Njaba are some of the oil wells in the area. By end of Q4 of 2008, Addax Petroleum Corporation announced it was set to expand its Operations in the Njaba River basin through its new oil discovery in its Njaba field in the neighbouring Awo-Omamma town. The new discovery in the company's OML124 license area on the Northeast edge of the Niger Delta contains undeveloped Njaba 2 well onshore Nigeria and other exploratory prospects, On February 5, 2015, Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc ("Seplat" or the "Company"), announced that it has completed the acquisition of a 40.00% working interest in OML 53 in the area from Chevron Nigeria Limited ("CNL") with NNPC holding the remaining 60.00% interest in Oil Mining License block
