Abagworo:Well, the cultists and militants are still Rivers citizens and both PDP and APC have a good measure of cultists on their sides of the divide. About the fulani herssmen story, it is still very sketchy. Guess its only on NL, as i haven't come across the story on any radio station in PH. For the fulanis sake i pray that its just a little scruff, else, they are quite literally a sitting duck. |

Nduchuks, your brothers have taken laws into their hands as usual and no effort is being made by security forces to arrest those terrorists. If the community gather to discuss the matter Buhari will give shoot at sight order and arrest those that survived and clamp them into prison. Let it be known to fulanis that southern tribes and more expecially the Igbos are not as nice and submissive as your conquered hausa slaves and their relatives up north. |

It's so funny how some people reason. Instead of the south, West and east putting up a collective effort to end this menace some are busy saying it can never happen in my state and when it happens they change to it can never happen in my village when it's clear every section of Nigeria has suffered from these unsolicited and unprovoked attacks. I wouldn't be surprised if some even go on to say it can never happen in their family, after shamelessly witnessing an attack on their village which they had claimed was invincible. This is total madness. The earlier we all recognise it and stop gloating over the misfortune of others, the better for all of us, because it may be your turn next time. |

Abagworo:The way you reason sometimes makes me wonder what sort of a human being you are. Even if cultists steal fulani cattle, is that a justification for visiting communities with what you termed a wrath? Your spirit is already a sold one. How many cattle assumed stolen by cultists justifies the killing of humans by the herdsmen? If truly you are an Igbo man then I'm sorry for you. I know how adamant you are here on NL so I will not go back and forth with you. Just note that with the kind of battle about to take place in Nigeria, your type will not be wanted alive in Igboland. |

dTruth101:Of course, lamido can graze his cattle in Aba after he has paid for rent on the land where he encamps his cattle just like Chukwudi did for his shop in Sokoto. If he relocates to another land in that same Aba, he will still be expected to pay for another rent just like his counterpart gets in other regions. If he directs his cattle to a farmer's hardlaboured farm to graze he should be ready to pay for damages as dictated by the farmer. Everyone is in business so no one should expect special treatment. Fulanis are minorities in Nigeria and still fall short of being among the largest in all of Africa. Some people know you guys in and out. Tsuntsu da ya kira ruwa, shi ruwa zai daka. |

I have lived in the North before. Those Fulani folks are super dangerous and wicked. If you mess with them, their revenge no get part 2. Its usually massive and unprecedented. Since Buhari won't call them to order, the way out is to live in peace with them and allow them be. |

While joining my voice to those who condemn the attack on innocent people by cattle herders....there are things that still trouble me... “It’s also pertinent to state that in the buildup to the attack, there was a case of stealing of unspecified number of cows belonging to some herdsmen allegedly perpetrated by the youths of the community, but the case was never reported to have policeWhy didn't the Fulanis report to the police? Unconfirmed sources indicated six other persons lost their lives after the attack, the death of these six persons still remains unconfirmed for the simple reason that the police neither recovered nor visibly saw the corpses at the time of responding to the incident. Why do people feel more comfortable telling a newspaper about the death of six people(or more)...while they do not tell the Police? In my cold and honest opinion, Nigerians do not trust the Police. And yes, the Police has been from times past an organisation that has not done as well as it should. Reforms are needed to make it fit for purpose. But I know one thing....if the Fulanis had reported to the Police when their cows went missing....many people probably would still be alive. I will stop here for now. Additionally....it is high time the government started putting more action behind its plans to address the root causes of this crisis. This issue has been ongoing for 25 years. First it was innocent farmers getting killed in remote areas of the North, now it is a nationwide problem, exacerbated by climate change and population increases as well as poverty. |

SUBMARINE:I am sorry....but he is right. Infact the problem dates back decades...and has been ignored by several governments. We can only hope the current government does not ignore it. Change we voted for...change we must have. |

These blood-thirsty beasts called fulanis herdsmen are always claiming that their cattle was stolen[ even if it's not] inorder to unleash terror on the host community, there will never say they invade their farm, and the police issuing a statement justifying their attack. So many blood on Buhari and his fulanis brethren,s neck, when people are pushed to the wall, re action must follow. I blame the governors of those states that can't do the needful, and look Buhari on the face and tell him that his Fulanis brethren are asking for war. |
