I concur. It is always a great opportunity to meet new people (photographers), learn new things and share ideas in the process.
Personally I prefer off-street photowalks - parks, reserves, forest trails, and the likes, given my photographic background. But I'm available for photo walks at any location any day.

Nikon School organises ~~photo summits and~~ photo walks from time to time. Last one being at Lekki axis sometime in late 2015. NIPHEC as well, an activity during the annual conference. And there are also the private/exclusive photowalks, as ujsizzle suggested. The opportunities abound.

I know this joint. A land kingfisher can be spotted on the lifeless tree at sometime during the day. It's actual home is in bough of the lifeless tree in the garden, if it hasn't relocated. Hardly can be here this early. Nice one!

Didn't buy it, merely a loan for about a month from a friend. I'll use this time to get used to it and real cameras.

That was a very bold stand you took, staying in front like that in broad daylight. I give you kudos. Overcoming that fear is a mobile photographer's determinant.

WOW! But bros, you mean to tell us you lay flat on the road in a tertiary institution to take that photo in daytime? How long did it take to prepare and shoot?
Anyway, I'd completely understand if you had a digital camera and were on a photo-shoot mission on campus, else....It is somewhat hard to believe.
