An analogy of the quest for power by a friend:
this man at the top is likened to a baby, or a
child requesting, asking for a toy, crying and
weeping for days on end as he'd campaigned
for 12 yrs looking for the opportunity to
become president.
But like a child asking for a toy and
eventually receiving it, he plays with it a while,
but given 10-15 or 20 mins, he falls asleep,
with the toy in his hands. That's the tragedy

The property in question forms part of Dr. Saraki's wife's family asset. It is public knowledge that Mrs. Saraki comes from a family of independent means and wealth with numerous and varied assets acquired over decades in family estates and investments.

Unfortunately for this lying thief, crooked and corrupt man, the assets in question has nothing to do with his wife's family or in the name of his wife's Ojora family. Every one of them is under Saraki, his name and his wife's married name, his wife's family are not signatories, share holders, directors or operators of the secrete accounts.


Politics aside, I deeply detest such practices where rich people like saraki operate in secrete financially, they hide their money and transact multi million dollar business in secrecy without paying taxes. We the average Nigerians basically pay his taxes, we pay for the roads and bridges he uses with the taxes we pay, we basically subsidizes his social and civic responsibilities.

The money they steal is one thing, not paying taxes on their wealth and business transactions is even more callous, anti social and unpatriotic.

I do hope this man and his kind not only ends up in jail, but also rot and decay in jail..

Proxy ownership, Ojora family is quite different from Toyin Saraki the title owner.
I would humbly advice Uncle Bukky to leave the job to his lawyers rather than complicating it for them.

They are not necessarily tax 'evaders' but tax 'avoiders'. Tax evasion is an offence. Tax avoidance is not. Even within the country, you can structure your financial affairs to legally avoid tax.

Moving your wealth to 'tax havens' is not illegal. Switzerland, Isle of Mans, Mauritius, Seychelles etc Are there for such purpose. The source of your wealth may however be illegal, that is what law enforcement agencies can look into, not the simple fact that you have offshore accounts.

Note that even Nigeria laws do not forbids public officers from owning offshore accounts, only that it should not be opened while in office and if already opened before assumption of office, it should not be operated directly while in office. You can legally sidetrack that by transferring such assets to 'blind trust' like obasanjo did.
