Shymm3x:
A lot of these folks are just stark illiterates with the IQ of monkeys. So because the vessels arrived at the facilities of private companies and were loaded into tankers, that automatically means private companies did the allocation, no?

By applying common sense, you'd know that private companies would prefer the much more densely populated SW, especially Lagos from a business sense...than anywhere up North. Business is always about profit and less spending. To even move the oil to the SW is much more cheaper than anywhere up North. Evidently, it shows that they were following directives from the government based on how lopsided the allocations are.

Common sense, m0rons.
Do u need to insult just to drive home ur point?

How do you get ya point across to a goat without smacking it?

Or can an equestrian get a horse to run faster without the horse whip? grin

Ya answer is the answer to either of the two questions or both. grin

Which kind dumb question is this. So ur including Almajiries as car owners? Bros
Because the entire north is made up of almajiris !

They don't have business people and civil servants and corporate interests

Take note that North includes Abuja, Kaduna, Sokoto, Jos etc These are big economic cities with a large motorized population, most importantly given about 40% of PMS consumed in Nigeria is for power generation, the idea that the demand is any less is defeated before your argument even gains traction

if it is 3 geo political zones in the North, why then is it getting 4 times the fuel of one Zone instead of x3?
Also, do you know the volume of Cars, Industries, Middle class households, companies and firms in the South West alone?
You must have failed geography in school, there is one Geo-Zone left out and that is Middle Belt, given any truck that leaves depot in Lagos would take 5 days to reach Abuja and 7 to Maiduguri, by the time the trucks are there and back to Lagos, The SW would have received 3 loads of PMS

You people are missing the important question: What about the South South and South East?
I been ask them, very likely the story is exaggerated , because I'm sure the SW states that would receive the allocation as stated by the journo are just Lagos,Ogun,Oyo if they are lucky and maybe Osun. The likes of Ekiti and Ondo have not been factored.

The whole of SS and SE have been ignored entirely.

I call a lie

Nope, North Central would be Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Katsina,Abuja, Bauchi

Middle belt Nasarawa, Kogi, Benue, Plateau , Taraba, South Niger

There are over 19 states to factor here. Anyone who dismisses the large expanse of the North and is so stupid to classify the large divesity of tribes, giant population and demand for goods and services should only need be told that all SW states can be fit into Kaduna and Niger states (landmass) and still not fill it up.

My Friend stop being bias and go by Population of each geopolitical Zone. And stop grumbling.
What are you talking about bro? Are they distributing it based on per-head? Are they drinking the fuel since they are using population factor instead of the level of industrialization? Will you give Lagos thesame quantity of fuel that you will give Kano? How many company/factory do we have in Kano in comparison with Lagos? You self think am. It's not by population bro.

Okay, let's use ya everyday life as a case study. Let's say you have two problems you need to fix urgently. One is very close to you and you can fix it easily with the resources available, while the other is far away and it will take time to fix. How would you go about fixing these problems?

I don't understand the rationale, thought the forces of demand should decide this.

The morning has not been bad given the fact that we're not spending a kobo extra from budget for subsidy for the first six months of the year, compared to what obtains in the past when we spent billions or trillions per year.

Don't just criticise because u see or hear others doing so. If u are tasked to analytically criticise this administration, l am sure u wouldn't even know what to say. A good Economist who knows his onions cannot justifiably condemn the present govt in the face dwindling public revenue. So I advise that u take a walk to the nearest Economist around u.

You go about fixing the problem by applicable common sense. The two problems solution is to supply with the farther venue allocated more due to distance logistics. Before one tanker does go and come in 7days to the North, the other tanker has done 3go and come around Lagos and Ogun state.

The question was directed at you. However, your answer paints a perfect picture of how disorganised your everyday life looks like. A sensible person would solve the problem close by, to get that out of the way, while giving assurances to the ones far away that succour is coming. In doing so, you've solved half of ya problem and it'll give you the needed attention to focus on the other half that's left.

With what you posited: no problem would be solved in the next 7days cos the number allocated to the SW won't be enough to solve anything. When you could've easily solved the SW problem, while shifting all the focus to the North.

Err, in future, don't ever contest for an election in naij. And if you're ever offered a political post - politely reject it. You're obviously not a problem solver and you'll only exacerbate the numerous problems wrong with naij. grin

I'm out.

Middle belt = North Central, one of the three zones in the north, Olodo!
And in what planet does it take 5 days to travel between Lagos and Abuja.... looool.... all these dumb people sitting in their bedrooms forming analysts online.

For God's sake, why are some people hell bent on causing disuuunity in dis country. Let uus remember that the North comprises of 3 geopolitical zones , namely : North west, North east and North central . While south west is just a single zone ouut of d 3 geopolitical zones we hav in d south. So d 160 tankers are meant for 3. Zones while d 40 tankers are for one zone. Na god go purnish all enemies of nigeria and those who are spreading lies and devisives/ incitives. Statements.
North west = 40 .
North East = 40.
North central = 40.

Totall number of trucks for North =120 (out of 160 remaining 40 trucks).

West =40 only..
Now betwee the whole geopolitical zones listed above, who needs fuel morehuh...)...

Now who is cheating who...

Southerners never fail to show their hatred for the north.one region compared with three regions and they are complaining.
Kano and kaduna=lagos when it comes to fuel consumption don't forget the capital another large guzzler of fuel and apart from these three we still have more states than the whole of southern Nigeria combined yet here you are comparing the fuel allocation of the whole of the north with just one region in the south.
Hatred will kill you especially the red capped degenerates whose very thought is filled with avarice and contempt for Northern Nigeria.

Who is talking about population? We are talking about demand. How many people of d numerous population get cars in d north and how many get generators? Compare that to the south and west. Even most of them that need fuel are either living in Abuja or Lagos. So why make noise about population

Around ratio 60:40 North to South.
But this is not an issue of population, but an issue of demand..... How much fuel is needed in places like zamfara, Gombe, Yobe, Kebbi Etc?

The South West is the second most populated Geo political zone in Nigeria, and cant' be getting 4 times less than a region with 3 zones. Three times less, I can understand, but 4 times less.... what is ur explanation?
Don't you ever use that population ratio again. Some of you who have never travelled will use your own hands to sell yourselves and your lands. Be properly guided.
