Can u pls mention 6 achievements of the previous administration in its 6 years of stewardship? What exactly was ur personal benefit in the past administration? Even the corrupt beneficiaries of that administration were already confessing and returning our commonwealth and u are here typing what u don't know. Pls we should be objective in our criticisms. How do u compare 6 yrs with great public revenue and 10 month with dwindling public revenue? For things to change for the better, some elements of sufferings most be borne.

Could you by any chance be implying that the North has more demand for petrol than the South?
More borders to smuggle out more petrol. Chad 40 trucks, Niger 40 trucks.

Is there anywhere in Nigeria with a higher PMS demand than Lagos?

The question was directed at you. However, your answer paints a perfect picture of how disorganised your everyday life looks like. A sensible person would solve the problem close by, to get that out of the way, while giving assurances to the ones far away that succour is coming. In doing so, you've solved half of ya problem and it'll give you the needed attention to focus on the other half that's left.

With what you posited: no problem would be solved in the next 7days cos the number allocated to the SW won't be enough to solve anything. When you could've easily solved the SW problem, while shifting all the focus to the North.

Err, in future, don't ever contest for an election in naij. And if you're ever offered a political post - politely reject it. You're obviously not a problem solver and you'll only exacerbate the numerous problems wrong with naij. grin

I'm out.
Out and dry you mean. You forget that the problem is an everyday issue not a once in a lifetime thing. Nigeria consumes gasoline DAILY, about 40litres daily according to reports. Tankers load and disperse DAILY. The hyped OP is an average normal occurrence at the depot. The newspaper and webpages that toyed with gullible sentiments have done so and made profits. It changes nothing from the reality on ground daily as regards to supply and distribution logistics. As long as tankers are available from farther distances, they'll continue to get bigger quota. That is how it was, how it is, and how it will continue to be, except dynamics change.

The morning has not been bad given the fact that we're not spending a kobo extra from budget for subsidy for the first six months of the year, compared to what obtains in the past when we spent billions or trillions per year.
but the subsidy done resume again now, how we go do am?

Yes, they didn't say it was gone. They cancelled earlier crazy deals and crude swaps. Starting from January this year, they arranged periodical reviews of pump price, i think once per quarter. January to March is gone and no subsidy was paid. About 5naira per litre subsidy would be paid this quarter but the money is already available and the money is small COMPARED to previous years. It's not a drain on our budget again.

I don't even think the population is the issue here. The port is in Lagos. Tankers will get even to the farthest parts in less than 24 hrs. The south south and south east are also relatively nearby. When other vessels berth, a good number of tankers that have done their rounds within Lagos will be available to lift the product even while some northbound tankers are yet to arrive. I totally agree with you. The media guys just learn to repot without sentiments.
Population is not the issue my point is that it will be better if the author could at least spin his/her story around numbers of user rather than the south-north dichotomy.

Meanwhile, your reason for the disparity seems logical.

You're crazy! The report on the newspaper clip says North and South. North includes NW, NE and NC. Southern Nigeria is made up of SW, SE and SS. Every Tom and Jerry knows that 80% of all economic activities in this country takes place in the South. So where exactly is my bias coming from?
still bn biased!!! you don't what you're saying it said south West
