I don't think people knew the man from back then. Most people making a show of voting were teenagers and shallow adults. They never cared or didn't want to care about who the man was.

Nigerians are quick to complain about a president desiring another term, but they couldn't investigate the dark history of a man twisted by age who was coming in for his second shot at destruction. The past repeats itself again. Only force will remove this current president. The leopard can't change its spots.
