Unarchive your epub into a folder (change the extension to .zip , and extract).
Open Brackets, and go to File -> Open Folder. Select your extracted epub folder.
Edit any of your HTML and CSS files!
Activate Live Preview to view the ebook in Chrome! The preview will change as you type.

nope. i use calibre, don't think it works with .docx. i know it has bastard chilren with pdf, mobi etc. not sure about doc. last last most readers that support epub support mobi. you can try converting to that with the hope you get better formating

Yeah. I just read about calibre this afternoon. Calibre Companion. It even supports editing epub file directly. The Android version is what I need. It costs 725 naira on the android market but my functional account is with a verve. I will get it but I'm still checking
