You have the platform. All you need do is know the name of the WAEC examiner, the invigilators, and the name of the schOol and come here and open a thread about the happenings in the school.

I tell you, those who cheat in their WAEC exam will know that there are no short cuts in life.

Bro, I understand your situation there. Exam malpractice is just the order of the day now. Students don't study and want to pass excellently. No thanks to those corrupt teachers and invigilators. Keep working hard, it will pay off later when fake is separated from authentic. Presently, I am managing as a Maths teacher and I took the job in February just to hold body together till better job comes. Honestly, in that school I can't boast of a student that will have C6 in Mathematics there. The more I try to teach them and help them restructure their faulty foundatuon, they will not listen. What do you expect when they know that they will be helped in the exam hall? I have already told them that they should not be expecting any assistance from me during exam. May Gpd help me. I must make the système improve

My mum works with Waec and if I should ask her,her reply would be you should focus and study well.leave your colleagues,they can't eat their cake and have it .

I feel ur pain, Op. Where i attended secondary school, it was not like that. But after our neco results were delayed and my admission was hanging, i registered for neco GCE where i experienced what you are experiencing, probably worse. It was disgusting and shameful to say the least. But the neco results was released just after 2 papers and i was just glad to abandon the exam and move on.

Smh! There is no justice in the world already, examination malpractice is a global phenomenon. But since you are both convinced that I'm the useless one here, then advice the op to atleast mention the name of the school, lemme help destroy the career of everybody that did exam there including him and the teachers.

It is morally good to report it but Nigeria is no a civilized country. They'll cancel your center, instead of fishing out the culprits.

So my advice is not to report if you really want your result. Even if you report it, how about the massive malpractises going on at other exam centers?

First, I'll like you to know that you're doing the right thing. Big ups to you. This is Nigeria though, and corruption is so very pervasive here. Those who you're going to report to are corrupt too, and you might just end up falling victim. Exam malpractice has been deeply entrenched in the Nigerian system even before you were born, and sadly it won't change now that you're writing waec. So, ignore them and keep burning your candles and writing on your own. You will reap the benefits. Forget about those who are being assisted now. Carryovers await them in the university.

Look, for human beings to live in peace there must be laws guiding the relationship. There is law against exam malpractice too. So, why must we ignore the law for selfish reasons? Any student who wangles his way through secondary school, will surely wangle his way through tertiary education, thereby resulting in numerous unqualified graduates brandishing certificates they don't merit . Secondary school is the best place to separate the chaff from the wheat.
Today in Nigeria, we talk of unemployment of youths. How can a youth who does not know his left from his right be employed? Sadly, because of general corruption, those who do not worth their salt hold sway in various offices due to "connection", no wonder things are not working in the country.
Note that education to the highest level is meant for those who worth their salt, not mediocre. Are you happy that Nigeria certificates are looked at with disdain by foreign countries?

Finally, we must not support mediocrity and should not discourage those who have the gut to fight corruption. Thanks.

With people like you, Nigeria is hopeless. You hate someone for being upright? Later you'll be making noise about politicians and corruption. Where do you think it all starts from? A young person who has no qualms with bribing invigilators and getting help in waec today, will have no qualms looting the state treasury tomorrow. Funny thing is that y'all go to church and mosque and make pretensions to being the paradigm of righteousness, but you have no qualms involving unabashedly in exam malpractice.
