We need a massive reorientation in this land...everyone inclusive... It's suprising that the some state legistors voted this charade into law...all ex-governors from 1999 should be probed starting with Tinubu & others... |

We did ourselves in for this rape the moment we allow area boys , thugs , political sons, to represent us in the legislature across all states. 99% of Nigerians don't know who represents them in government, don't care about what he does because we are too focused only on the executive and fail to recognize the crucial role of legislators in shaping the future and affecting the present. The Kwara legislators have only shaped the future in their own image and to the bidding of their principal who happens to be the governor and not the people they purport to represent. This generation is already lost and will pay dearly like this huge pension for past governors for been so docile. To save the coming generation serious teaching from elementary school through secondary schools of what a democratic government looks like, how it functions and the roles of the branches of government. Teaching the current generation is like fetching water in a basket, they will hardly learn anything. Just read the comments hailing this malfeasance just because they don't like the personalities of government in power |
