OAFMods:Because unlike "Nigeria", I still have my power of choice with education and Christianity. You think anyone forced me to be educated? No. Do You think anyone forced or is forcing me to be a Christian? Of course not. Now let me ask you this, do you think anyone is forcing me to be a Nigerian against my will? There lies your answer. |

irunooboo:So was the A.N.C (current ruling party of south africa) a terrorist organization when it fought against apartheid & formed ukhomto we sizwe (its militant wing). dt attacked certain govt installments? You forgot 2 mention dt dey destroyed properties only because unarmed members were killed by the nigerian army during a peaceful protest. Violence begets violence. D fact is dt terrorism is in act & nt in words. Until dere is an act of terrorism by IPOB, dey remain a non-terrorist organization. It is d summit of foolishness 2 brand dem as terrorists simply because dey insulted nigeria. |

irunooboo:lol, what a blunt way to answer simple question but let me leave you because if you have concrete facts i think you should have come up with a comprehensive answer. Anyway, the last time i checked for you to be a governor here in south south or south east you must be highly connected with the Northern/South Western politicians before you get the ticket to contest either in their PDP or APC party here in south south or our south eastern brothers which shows both parties have nothing to offer. @ Irunooboo, Things are not working and will never work in this damn country because its still same old wine(PDP)re packaged in new wine(APC)so what is our problem in the late 60's, 70's and 80's is still the problem now so are you telling it will be solved in the next 4-8 years its a blatant LIE and you know that. We need to separate and fight for our different destiny, yoruba is a great tribe to watch out that will compete strongly with the old eastern region in terms of development. Will stop here till something calls for my opinion again. |

T9ksy:The greater Igbo nation has the wherewithal to stand on its own. But this is not just about what Igbos want, it is also about what the minorities want. It is strategically important for me to know who my neigbour is. So those minorities must be given their say as I demand my own say. It is not for you as Yoruba man to come to an area you have no historical connection with and talk about who should go with who. Last I heard, the Aworis,Eguns and Badagry people still regard Yorubas as 'invaders' who stole Lagos from them. You should be talking about offering these people a referendum so they too can have their own say. |

We have aworis not just in lagos state, but also in ogun state.90percent of the land in lagos state, belong to the western region.lekki, ikorodu, epe etc belong to ijebus |

omololu2020:I actually heard a funny story that Oba Akiolu and the entire ruling family of Lagos are from Oyo. It is still a question mark about Yoruba claim of Lagos. If it is true that Yorubas are invaders or visitors to Lagos, I might also stake my claim to Lagos as an Igbo man since it has been reported that Igbos now make up an estimated 45% of Lagos and are the largest land owners. If the original ancestral people of Lagos are not identified then Lagos is 'open game' to anyone who can prove their stake there. Chances are that 50 years from now (wether Nigeria is still standing or not), Lagos might be renamed to 'New Enugu' |

I think the best thing for we the Yorubas is to allow yibooos and eastern region to go because my grandma in ekiti told us if yibboos are force to stay in Nigeria they will buy up the whole Lagos in 10yrs time.that will put we the Yorubas as second class citizens in Lagos don't forget yiboos are large they have the number of richest people which tells they have the purchasing power earlier we push them away better for us ![]() |

Erm... but why are some people carrying IPOB matter for head? I'm Igbo and I don't even carry it like this OP who is probably not Igbo. So the question is.. Are Igbos greedy? Are Igbos insecure? Do Igbos have a genuine reason for agitation? Is Nigeria a working structure for all peoples, tribes or ethnic nationalities found in it? If these questions can be answered with utmost honesty, it will go far to settle this situation. Having said that, let me state that the killing of unarmed protesters is a catalyst for destruction. When the flood hits the wall, one must give, the flood waters or the wall of stone. |

Or the one that politicians have crumbled already ? Since you said we are brothers and sisters, then feel free and go to Bornu and be brothers with the hausa/fulani's, then let's see if you'll be alive to say this nonsense you are saying. |

irunooboo:give me 3 cogent reasons why you don't want the Igbos to secede, with your high level of tribal sentiments. Seyi banned the promotion of Biafra on Nairaland out of tribal hatred. If it were OOdua republic, he would have done otherwise. No apologies, please! |

If you really loved your ancestors then you would not praise the man who sought to put them under perpetual slavery. I don't know how some Nigerians can look upon colonialism as a good thing. |

zendy:Abeg, naff off jo. Initially, it was you ibos who insisted on One Nigeria despite the fact all the other leaders were against the idea.Even when you cunning ibos were going to actualised your so-called "land of the rising sun", the first thing you did was to occupy your neighbouring land and impose your rule on then in line with your earlier promise to us that you guys are superior to every one else and therefore must dominate others around you, before you finally met your "Waterloo" at Ore en route to impose your greedy covetous aim in yoruballand. When this d.umb Union finally disintegrate, every one will bear hin papa's name however if your minority neighbours chose to form a union with you ibos, then, that's their funeral. I care less. As per your obsession with Lagos, forget it. You guys know nothing about Lagos so just "mechonu" on the matter. |

T9ksy:Individuals are profiting from oil, the "oil rich" areas aren't. The main attraction to the "oil rich" areas is numbers and land mass. The land mass occupied by Igbo states is very small in comparison to other regions especially after parts of Igbo land have been lumped in states with other non-Igbos and termed non-core. The world is becoming less dependent on crude oil as has become apparent. Countries which were previously heavily dependent on petroleum products are quickly moving on to renewable energy. Demand for oil is reducing. Additionally reserves are not infinite and would eventually be exhausted. The "our oil" tune will be redundant in the not too distant future, then we'll see where the minorities choose to pitch their tents. |
