Who would have believed that the same Nigerian army that was running from boko haram in 2014 is the same army that finished boko haram in 2015. Good Leadership also has a way of improving performance of military.

Probably due to Pavlovian psychological training - they are so used to T72's blowing up easily that they abandoned it out of instinct and not of an actual need

NATO has no real SPAAG platforms (apart from Germany and Poland)... you think it would be the other way around with NATO obsessing with armor (because the eastern block relies so heavily on SPAAG) and Russia building lighter Helo's

Not really, they are using 71B (Turkish supported groups) and 71C (Saudi supported groups) and 71A (US supported groups). 71E & 71F are the variants brought out to deal with modern Russian armor.

PS: You can tell if the group using the TOW is funded by the US/Turkey if they film the missile serial-number before firing. Pentagon/CIA/Turks want them to document the missile + launch so that they can be sure that the rebels are not selling TOWS to other un-supported groups. If you see a video of a missile firing without the filming of the box+missile then it is probably Saudi supplied.

shouldn't they be pushing the FG to go for better fighter jets and tanks so that as part of the deal with the Russians, Chinese or Pakistanis, they can get a tech transfer and maintain those jets in Nigeria. That tech transfer they've got, can also help them to make better hardwares for us in the future. I see a bright side for technology in Nigeria.

Ehen, that reminds me! You mentioned it sometime ago, i think, that there are private boat/ship manufacturers/builders in Nigeria. Can you please give me their names and contact address? A friend of mine is trained in Marine Engineering and really wants to practice. He's been looking if he could find a job abroad. He is the best mathematician in our set in the secondary school. It is important we keep his likes in Nigeria. Or what do you suggest, maybe a direct short service into the navy so he could work in the dockyards?

The main problem is that fighting insurgency is still new to many African militaries coupled with the fact that they are poorly armed. Tactics for fighting insurgent is another thing that is not common in Africa and this you will learn during the war.
