There is human congestion on the Ojota pedestrian bridge this morning as hefty KAI officials in Lagos have been positioned at both ends of the Ojota bus stop along the ever busy Ikorodu road to arrest and fine anyone who crosses the express road. Many passengers have been forced to make use of the pedestrian bridge as they fear being arrested and then fined. See more photos after the cut...

Ensuring order and safety

It is only force that works in Naija. Everybody wants it quick-quick! sharp-sharp! not minding how dangerous the short-cut is.

Pedestrian bridges are made for P-E-D-E-S-T-R-I-A-N-S but the way you go see dem dey run cross highway ehn!
Why for goodness sake would someone force you to use/do something that could save your life

Imagine one farting in that crowd.. Smh.

Is it not better this way than put your life at 50 50 risk of crossing the highway

Well, Knowing Naija and infrastructural incompetence they had better make sure of the structural integrity of that bridge to withstand the heavy n constant pedestrian traffic before we hear stories that touch....God forbid!

I understand, same has happened to me before. The country is full of locals so they cant be really blamed. The ones to be flogged are the learned ones. Lol

I can boldly tell you ojota pedestrian bridge is strong to hold the traffic

Crossing that ojota-ikorodu road without using the bridge is not the best expecially during the rush hours
