Commuters scamble from buses as petrol tanker starts to leak fuel at Oshodi


This happened this morning. A leaking petrol tanker at Berliet bustop along Oshodi Apapa express way caused panic as drivers and commuters ran out of their cars in fear as the tanker started leaking fuel. Thankfully, it didn't explode. See more photos after the cut...

They scrambled and still siddon dey look. Sorry is their case.

Nigerians and safety method sucks. If fire should ignite most of those commuters and vehicles will be affected.

It is better to run now, than to read tragic newspaper headlines the following day.

They can patch the leaking tank with cellotape or chewing gums

People in that environment don't seem to know the implication of that spill...

All that is needed for an explosion to occur is a little spark or a seemingly exhasuted cigar still burning mildly lying carelessly along the path of spillage....

Every fuel tanker ought to be in good working condition... That truck should be arrested for endangering lives,why should you put lives on the line because of your carelessness...
Many tankers on our roads has outlived the recommended date for disposal and that's the reason for many fatal accidents.those issues should be checked.

To the Post, If na me, I nor go even look the Tanker before I take off. Those guys standing and looking though... God will continue to avert dangers like this, we've seen and had enough

so we have gotten wiser now, i thought by now everyone will be running after the tanker with a bucket to collect the leaking fuel.

They better run for their lives.
